pryan67 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 So, DD wants a guitar for Christmas... we ordered one from Toys R Us, but it's WAY too small...it's going to be going to my 3 year old son to play with... DD has no experience with guitars...and I don't want to spend a bundle (want to keep at 50 bucks if we can)....but I don't want junk either... I was thinking the Squier...but that's more like 90...and we've already overspent on Christmas anyone have any suggestions as far as brands go...or which brands to stay away from?
amyers12345 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Are you looking for acoustic or electric? That will make a huge difference.
pryan67 Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 oops....I suppose I should have mentioned that she wants an acoustic...
andybrooke Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 I think that TRU has the Hannah Montana guitar on sale for $69.00
pryan67 Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 she doesn't like Hannah Montana... I'm hoping to get one like this: http://www.guitarsandmore.com/?sec=product_details&product_id=131 but shipping will kill it, and I need it by Christmas *LOL* there's a music store a couple of towns over that I might swing by today if the wind dies down (lots of blowing and drifting out here in Illinois) and see what they have. They have some new Squier guitars (made by Fender), but they're 90 bucks...and DW wants to keep it at 50
SelenaV Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 A pink acoustic guitar is all my 10 y/o DD wants for Christmas. According to the people who work at our local music store we needed a 36". We ended up getting her a pink one from WM. Instead of a case we bought her a metal stand for $15. Good luck!! Selena
