How do you keep Christmas "even" for all the kids? Do you do it based on cost or number of gifts? I feel like I bought my youngest too many in comparison to his siblings but they each got an expensive gift...which should I figure it on? Usually I do number but this year seems really lopsided.

We have 3 kids - ages 12, 7 & 6. We spend the same amount on all three - even though our 12-year old don't get as many gifts. She's into the electronics and things that cost more and she understands.
