Best deal on Rechargeable batteries?

I was fortunate to get a great deal on a Leapster for my DD, but I know how many batteries they go through, so I'm in search for any deals on rechargeable AA batteries. I would need the batteries as well as the charging unit. Any info or recs would be greatly apprecaited!

 

I thought about doing the recharging station, but everywhere it seems to start around $30.

Walgreens this week has the Duracell charger (it comes with 2 batteries) and also the 4 pack rechargeables for $8.99 each. Look for a peelie coupon on the packages too!

At walmart they have a kodak charger with 4 AA batteries. I think I paid $19.99 but it wasnt more than that and I also saw last night a polaroid brand with AA and AAA batteries/charger for $19.99 and it came with a bonus car charger..

I have found that the Energizer AA's and charger @ Sams Club are great.

Been awhile since I bought them, but you used to get 8AA and 4AAA with a charger for around $20 to $25.

we still ran though a ton of batteries with my ds leapster...we bought the leapster charger and it has MORE than paid for itself! it stays charged for a looong time

 

just something else to think about :)
