If he's like my husband he wants quality, not cheap and kmart, walmart etc is cheap. Go to Sierratradingpost.com. SI bought a high quality 150 dollar boot for 70. and I signed up for dealflyer and they send me percent off offers every day. I got one today for an extra 20% off any one item in store. It is a discount outlet. SI bought all of my granddaughters Ariat Fatbaby boots for christmas there for 22.00 . If you know cowboy boots you know they are about 80-=100 .00. It is an awesome site.

My husband got his at Bass Pro shop. I think they were $55. While it isn't under $50.. it's not too much over...:)

Try Sears. My hubby and Dad ALWAYS got their workboots there.
