What are RR?

RR is short for register rewards. Walgreens will offer these register rewards if you buy a certain quantity or dollar amount of specified products (you can find them listed in the weekly circular). These register rewards can be used like cash on your next purchase. However, you have to be careful with register rewards. They usually expire 2 weeks from the issue date.

Things to Remember……

At most stores, you are only able to use one register reward coupon per transaction.

Another hang up with RR, is say you make a purchase, and use your RR to pay for the item(s), and the item(s) you purchase are part of a RR deal... your new RR will not print out.

Your pretax total must be more or equal to your RR amount in order for you to redeem RR.

RR count as manufacturer coupons as far as the register is concerned, and you are only allowed to use as many man. Q's as you have items. However, you can use a man. Q, store Q, and pay with a register reward - just make sure you have a filler item. Recently it has been noted that if you use your RR first, you don't need a filler item....YMMV.

What is the Easy Saver Catalog?
The Easy Saver Catalog lists all the monthly Walgreens deals with coupons and rebate information for the products listed in the catalog. This catalog is available in the front of the store by the weekly sales ads or can be found on-line.

You can mail your rebates in or use the newly available on-line system here:

You rock, dantegirl! I appreciate your efforts in spelling this all out. I stare at the Walgreens ad on Sunday morning with kids and dogs and phones and music and whatever other distractions life throws at me and never seem to be able to match up the RR + coupons + rebates to make it all work out. You do a great job of it! ... and the $5 coupon, too! woo hoo!! :D

For me it depends on the store I am at. One of my stores let me use the RR as payment (so my total would be lower than $20) but my other store counts the RR as a coupon so my total would be around $20. HTH.

The coupon for the $5 off states that this is after all WALGREENS coupons, this includes RR's. The $25 spent does not include taxes either. After the coupon, your total will be $20 plus taxes. This week, if you buy the toothbrushes or floss for part of the $25, you will get a $6 RR. The EasySaver Catalog does not have many deals this month, but I will probably get the Lindt truffles this week-not a great deal-spend $15 and get $5. Then I will do the Glade Candle offer with a $1 mfg coupon and $2 Easysaver rebate. With 2 @$1 off of the Reach floss coupons, I will spend $25.97 plus tax minus the $5 off of $25 and receive $6RR+$5 EasySaver MIR+$2 Easy Saver MIR=$7.97 plus tax oop.
I give the truffles out every Christmas, so this is still a savings for me. I have done much better-but did not see much for this week.

YMMV....I have always been able to get both for free. However, many people report that it doesn't work for them because Walgreen's usually rings up the first one for say $1.18 and the second for $0.01 and some cashiers only take off the $0.01 of the second one. HTH.

Hit the motherload today and had the best cosmetic cashier EVER! Finally hit a day when the truck came in. Filled my rainchecks of the Neutra- Air system got them for .99 each with my coupons (got 6 of them) Intuition razors and midnight razors... Intuition razors came in.. Got all them (5) for FREE with overage using ESC and my MQ coupons.... THEN, no midnight razors. The manager of cosmetics said since she told me yesterday they would come, she would give me the bigger schick sets for the same price...3.99. These sets were origonally 9.99 w/ earbuds and ones with refills in it. Got them FREE with overage too. Love her! Total of 15 razors (even though my raincheck just said 8). I asked her if I could get more since I had the MQ coupons for it... She said yes. I was so happy. Sure deodorant is 2/$1 at my Walgreens (manager special). Got 20 for FREE with overage using MQ coupons I ordered. Glade oil candles 3.99 each. Got 6 of them using buy one get one free coupons plus $2 coupons. Glade Wisp candles on sale. Used 2 $5 coupons. BioInfusion shampoo/conditioner 1.99 each plus I had coupons. (regularly $15 I think) Lipstick cases (super cute) regularly 2.99 on clearance for .74 each. Got a few to add to gifts. Nivea shaving cream 2.99.. large containers w/ attached body wash. Used ESC coupon plus my MQ coupons making them only .99 each. Bought the shelf out. Will use these in gift stockings I do. Fusion shaving gel 1.99 Used MQ coupons making them only .99 each. Soft soap liquid got for .99 each plus used a MQ coupon for $1/2. She let me buy 4 instead of the 3 limit. All detergent on sale for 1.79 Used 6 MQ coupons at $1 each making them only .79 each. Plus she gave me a raincheck for 10 more so I can gather some more coupons (she broke it up into different rainchecks). I know there is more but can't remember now. lol. Total saved was over $200. I paid $25.02 and got my $5 RR for next time. SUPER TRIP TODAY.

Usually there is a limit on rainchecks, but my gal as I call her loves my couponing and always asks me to find her some. lol. I share with her too. She breaks up my rainchecks in multiple ones so I can get more.

FYI, the L'oreal FAR from last month is also available FAR for this month. It is not listed online or in the books, but multiple people have confirmed with ESC that it is available as rebate #59. Since it is $19.99, this is a great way to make it up to $25 to get the $5 Holiday RR!

I believe that if you did that rebate in November, you can't do it again if you file your rebates online. If you mail them in - you can get the manager to give you a slip (like a coupon) that shows the rebate and you'd send it in with the other ones.

I know when I log into my account I don't see the L'oreal rebate - but I did it last month. In the past when I didn't do a particular item, and it was offered the next month, I saw it at the very end. The space saver bags were like that a few months back.
