dmcginty Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I am looking for a really heavy duty blender that crushes ice. My baby brother uses it to make smoothies with ice and frozen fruit. He has went through three that I know of. Can anyone recommend a really strong reliable blender? Thank you so much!!!
imgamehere Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I have an Osterizer blender, 14 speed, max. 450 watts. Got it from Walmart for around $30, I think. This is fantastic for crushing ice; will crush as fine as snow if desired.
tokanm Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 We have a Magic Bullet..works great..crushes ice..makes smoothies..grinds coffee beans etc I actually threw away my regular blender when I saw how good the MB is
4texsons Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Kitchenaid blender (has a glass pitcher, not plastic)....awesome. I make my smoothies with frozen fruit, ice, etc. and it really does the job. Bought it a couple years ago online, it was a refurb model, with warranty from Kitchenaid. Looked brand spanking new, and could not tell the difference...except for the $$ I saved. I have been very happy with it.
fairydustcrissy Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3946735 Mine is very similar to this. Hubby got oit for me last Christmas, and I love it. Mine is black and came with a food processor attachment. It crushes ice no problem. Mine gets lots of use (mostly pina coladas, lol) and holds up great!
