I dont know much about laptops but I am starting school again soon and I need to have one. I wanted one from Office Depot but I didnt get there in time and I missed it. I wanted one with 3-4 GB memory and 250GB or more processor. Where online or in store do I go now. I didnt want to spend more than 600 dollars. Do you think there will be more sales beofre Christmas??

I'm sure there will be more sales, and possibly better sales, before Christmas. Just keep watching the ads, and you'll find something. IMHO, there were better laptop values on sale the two weekends before BF than on BF itself. In particular, I'd posted about on at OD that have everything you wanted, plus 4GB RAM and 64 bit Windows, for less (AR) than your budget is.

You are just the Cancel Queen!! Jk....:P

I am still trying to figure out how to spend my $100 from BestBuy for my cancelled laptop. :D

If you've read my other post, then you know I am the Champion on getting CANCELLED. I'm up to five times this week. Three times from ToysRus, once from Best Buy(but I did get my $100 email;)), and NEX/Aafes.com(they had an HP for $449 + $100 for a low $349, this one just got cancelled a few hours ago. No email:no:, I was just checking the status online). A little while ago, Best Buy put up the HP - Pavilion Laptop with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T5800 Model: dv4-1114nr for $499. It was sold out for a long time, but I've been watching for it. Even called in trying to get it last night. Ordered it online today and used my $100 email and made it a sweet $399 :eyepoppin with in-store pick-up. Great price with those specs. Similar laptops with those specs are $700+. I GOTTADEAL!:cheesy: I gottago and pick it up...it's ready:yup:.

I even went to HP.com and priced it. The model number was different of course, but all the specs were the same:yup:, including the price(maybe a few dollars different).

Hello! Wow, that is quite a deal for the HP at Best Buy. I looked at one this evening that is nearly the same for $799. Do you know if Best Buy is still selling that one for $499? I just found a Toshiba for $379 on Best Buy's web site. I'm going to call in the morning to see if it's still in stock. This Toshiba isn't as good of computer I don't think as your HP but still a deal :fluffy:

It was very nice of them. They caused me alot of problems though. Something about my debit card being flagged for fraudulent activity because of multiple charges from them. I still don't have it straightened out. My card is still inactive but my checking account is right now. Made shopping bad yesterday.

Happened to us once, from making a purchase and then right after at the same store. Had to call bank for them to release it, they just wanted to verify the purchases were from us. Great safety feature but very inconvenient.

I actually had to go to the bank and it still hasn't been released. At least I can use my checking account again. There for a little while Friday I couldn't use my check book either.

I am right there with you. I was going to camp out at Best Buy for that same computer until I saw it in the Office Depot add. I thought, why would I sit in front of BB for 15 hours when I could get the same thing at OD for 10 buck more and none of the stuff I didn't care about anyway. I like you missed out on the OD computer. I came home and started hitting every store add figuring that I could find something close, I ended up finding it online. Bought this beauty that is just a little higher priced than I wanted, but, well, you decided.
