SoCalCyclist
Used to have a nice one that had the lights already on it but a couple years ago the lights quit working so we tossed it. Last year we thought we'd go with a live tree - which was kind of nice I guess - but was very expensive. I think we paid $80 to $90 for a tree that smelled nice for a few days and then dried up and died. I'd like to get a tall tree, at least 7' but 8' would be better. Anyone seen good deals on Xmas trees this year - BF ads maybe? What can I expect to pay for a nice looking 8' artificial Xmas tree?
jbrawn26
Hammacher Schlemmer has two very nice trees in 7 1/2 foot styles the first being the noble fir and the second being the frasier fir prices on the frasier depend on the lights you choose bulb or led and are 595-795 and the noble are dependent on whether you want slim, mid-width or regular and are between 380 and 550 but these are very realistic trees. Not sure what your price range is but that tree would last for quite a while. Hammacher Schlemmer offers a lifetime guarantee under normal non comercial use on these. http://www.hammacher.com/publish/TreePrelit_new.asp?promo=homepage http://www.hammacher.com/publish/PrelitFir_Collection.asp?promo=xsells Macys has a 7 1/2 foot martha stewart tree on clearance for 164.99 from 275 but it's no where's near as nice a tree... which I guess makes sense given the price difference lol. http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=331990&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results
SoCalCyclist
Thanks. I'll take a look. Well, the Macy's looks pretty cheesy. The other 2 look nice but I wouldn't spend that much unless I saw it in person and it really did look realistic. Guess I'm just gonna have to suck it up and hit the stores - WalMart, Kmart, Lowes, Home Depot - and pick the one that looks the best. Or I could just send my wife with a credit card and not worry about it. :) Edited November 23, 2008 by SoCalCyclist
ktsmds
Linens and Things has a great deal on theirs. It was 119.00. Also BJ's has nice ones for around 200.
