cokemeyer
great find! They had these on clearance after Christmas last year at Target and I got one for each kid. It was great because on pet day at school they could bring in pictures of their "grand-pets" to share with their friends since we don't have any real pets of our own. fun for bedtime lovies too... pmpdchef
I saw one review that said the software wasn't the best and one said that it was real easy. What was your experience with downloading and playing the slideshow? I was seriously thinking about getting a couple for my girls.
elena_398
My daughter has the monkey and it downloaded fine for us. My husband is the computer person and its great. She also has the dog. She downloaded pics of her and her best friend and gave it to her when she moved away last year.

I think the problems were with Windows Vista but we don't have that. I think their website explains an alternate way if you have problems with Vista.... you just download the pics and then the toy itself has two modes - one where you flip from picture to picture on your own and one where it plays a "slideshow..." gezzmom70
i grabbed a few from Target for gifts when they were on clearance, too. dd loves her monkey. we didn't have problems with the software either. We've got Vista, so I think we had to do an extra step. But it took all of an extra 2 minutes.
rennakay
I purchased a few and will be given them to my grandbabies for christmas. I've just about finished loading the monkey and it was soooo easy. All you do is make sure you put the batteries in, turn on the animal, plug in the usb cord and a window pops up. The instructions are so easy to understand. I was pleasantly surprised on how big the pictures are on the slide. I would look around walmart because one of mine had them on clearance last week for $6.50. They had the penguin, monkey, puppy and frog. My other walmart had them for around $12. pmpdchef
For those of you that have found them in Walmart and Target, were they in the electronics or the toys section? I dispise Walmart but for a good enough deal I'll go.
