Is this the kind of thing I need to just find and buy or do they go on sale? I haven't noticed them, but I haven't looked either. loves30 Posted November 18, 2008 Share Posted November 18, 2008 well i can tell u this .. guitar center usually does a pretty good coupon sale on black friday . i want to say 10 to 20% off depends each yr. i got my son a guitar he wanted on line and they always give 10% off. and free shipping. we always get the catalogs in the mail and right now they have one that has a coupon for 10% off in store and come some time next wk im sure well get the black friday one. i asked hte girl on the phone can i get a price adjustment she said yes on black friday. woohoo cause the guitar was 500.00.. u might want to ck on there . sign up on the mailing list so u get the coupons in the mail. From experience I've noticed guitar amps hardly ever go on sale. but web sites like guitarcenter.com and musiciansfriend.com do infact have Black Friday specials!!! (I'm almost positive its 20%) if i can recommend, look for a "line 6 spider 3" amp. its perfect for anyone who is learning/home playing and there is practically an unlimited amount of different guitar effects to choose from. (Be sure to check out the $200+ price range for the best sounding amp) I would purchase the amp through musiciansfriend.com because if you need anything or any help they are VERY helpful and reliable! :) hope this helps! I thought it was going to be something under $100 and the size of a backpack. He used to be in a band and sold most of his gear several years ago. I have no problem with him getting a little amp to mess around with but with 4 kids I sure hope he doesn't think he is going to get back in a band! He is already in grad school and working full time plus the kids. It was this or golf, he wants to take up golf. But golf takes him away from home, guitar he can play at home and play with the kids at some point... I remember he used to get stuff from Musicians Friend too. Thanks for your help!
