jmecherul
hi i ordered a samsung 50" plasma (same one circuit city had for their xbox combo deal and still do) for pick up at the only local store than had in in stock. they had it cheaper than CC or BB for that matter plus the 10% friend and family sale. i got a confirmation email with the order and such. i was waiting for the pick-up ready email. instead, today i got a phone call from the store saying they dont have them in stock anymore. I said ok, i will wait to pick it up when you guys are going to get it. they said they cannot even order it. i searched a ton of places around here and none of them have them in stock. they only place that had them was somewhere in montana (in store in 20 days). the person that called me said they dont even have a display unit? i was in sears yesterday and ordered this. they had it at the store (the display) but not in stock. the transaction was processed by a manager. she saw that the tv was in stock at the other store. i think this was a scam, or something is fishy. i think they pulled all those tv's out of stock and now are sitting in their warehouse. any of you guys heard anything? i am sort of disgusted with sears, and i am kind of glad i went to lowes and gotten the samsung washer/dryer pair on priceb match instead of giving sears the business, because this is shady. jmecherul
it is really funny how sears is out of them nationally. how the heck is that possible? i see best buy has them, i see about 20 online stores that have the tv ins tock, yet sears is out nationwide and are not willing to actually order some. this is only to indicate something is fishy with sears. that is why i almost never shop at sears. i am so keeping my receipts and emails. i hope they will think that after BF, everybody is going to forget about this. they have a 30 days price guarantee. i am so going to bitch until i get the price. hehe
cassgurlie04
i too had this happen with the blu ray player yesterday, i have a friend that works for them and said that they were told to sell limited quanities or not at all to insure the stores still have them instock on BF, so the early sale is a bunch of crap, they just lure you in hoping u buy some other stuff and then come back BF to find your original item. TazErase
I avoid using the Sears credit card since they offer 12 months no payment, no interest, and then try charging me late fees after the 3rd month. I'm also still waiting for rebates from last year that they never sent payment for. I will ony buy from Sears on another card or cash for items with no rebate. If it is a rebate item I will not buy it and I shredded my Sears card. Yes something shady is going on which is a shame since I have always loved Sears, and I'd swear by the Craftman handtools, although their chainsaws suck. Went through 3 of them last year and still couldn't get a working one until I gave up and went to Home Depot.
arci122
I have done well with Sears rebates. I submit them on line though, and get my money w/in 3 weeks. I did have a problem on F&F night, we couldn't order items they were out of stock of.
civiclover88
I is nice to see that I wasn't the only one that thought sears was pulling something fishy. That so-called F&F night they had, I ordered the Blu-ray player at 6:03pm online and I was told that it wasn't in stock. I wasn't even trying to do in-store pick-up. I e-mailed customer service and this was thier response... > > >>>>>Dear Mr. ***, Thank you for contacting sears.com.> At what point did the Sharp Blu-ray Disc™ Player, AQUOS® Sears item # 05757968000 Mfr. model # BDHP21U show that it was sold out? I went to the page where you would enter your credit card information and the site did not show that the item was sold out. Of course, if you were doing a buy on line pick up at store purchase it is very possible that the store may have sold out since most stores open at 10 am. Even without the F & F discount the $179.99 price is still a great price for a blu-ray player. Thank you for your time and patience in this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. >>> Look for Great Ideas throughout the store and find Sears exclusive innovations from great brands like Sony, Kenmore, NordicTrack, Craftsman and Reebok. Shop www.sears.com now to pick up great products for the season. > Bob O. > Sears Customer Care [email protected] 1-800-349-4358> Now I see why I have never bought anything from them. crazypurgatory
You need to open your mouth and complain and do it to the right people. I'm telling you you will get what you want just B**** to the right person. When I use to work for Sears every time somebody got Mad and got my manager and open there mouth and gave him an ear load yelling or talking they got what they wanted. Go to the store make some phone calls maybe get the district manager on the line. You should be able to do this you will get your stuff. Try it you have nothing to loose.:yup:

You don't need to be rude and yell but you DO need to actually go in and talk to the manager of the store. Explain your problem and do it out on the floor where other customers can hear (that will make the manager more than likely willing to give you anything to avoid the possibility of a scene and/or other customers hearing about problems in the store). If you have proof like a cancellation notice bring that too.
stoneyv1
I ordered the Sony TV, and received a conformation e-mail the next day. I haven't received the ready for pick-up email, yet. CMeisenheimer
I ordered a new cooktop and built in oven on Sunday night and asked for them to be delivered to the store for pickup then paid for installation with Sears. We live in a rather rural area and there isn't anyone we know that can install them. Got a call from Sears yesterday saying that they were cancelling the order because there was no one to deliver them. I told the lady we didn't want them delivered, we wanted them installed. Her reply was that there was nothing she could do and they were cancelling them from their end so we needed to go to the store that we wanted them delivered to and get our refund! I am SO FURIOUS with Sears. Why on earth would they cancel a $1200 order??? No wonder they have a bad reputation. I can't wait for Saturday to get here so I can go talk to the store manager.
