Laptop for an 11 year old

Recommended Posts

Looking for a laptop...just enough to do some lowkey gaming, surf the internet and that kind of thing. I already saw the BB eMachines deal...but they don't ship. We are APO military in Germany, so wherever we buy from, they must have USPS shipping:( Thanks in advance...

This one is really good...might be too good for an 11 year old..so maybe you give your old oone to them and you keep the new one....

I will check Dell out...I'm going to have to pass on the eee pc...need to be able to put music, videos, etc on there...it's cute though...

Here's an Acer 8.9" with Windows XP and 160GB hard drive:

(nice price at $349!)

That Dell is not compatible with the coupon code, so yeah, you'd be looking at $399.

However, the small screen and diminutive keyboard make them best suited for surfing the 'net and that sort of thing, not exactly for typing papers or light gaming, unless you hook up an external monitor and full-size keyboard.
