There's been some talk about Shrinky Dinks (started by myself )...I was cruising around on Amazon.com and found this! I'm going to combine it with the Tinkerbell Dvd that just came out for my DD7 :) Thought i'd share!

I ordered a Christmas version of Shrinky Dinks from TRU and they just showed up today. My DH had no idea what they were and wasn't sure what the name could be. ROFLMAO

I loved shrinky dinks as a kid. My 1st set was Scooby Doo

Ok now I definitely have to get these as my daughter said "what are shrinky dinks?" I can't let that happen now can I???? I don't remember what my first set was but I thought they were the coolest when I was a kid - of course that was way back when.

They are "plastic" sheets that are colored with special pencils then cut out, put in the oven and shrink.

 

This set is a holiday one.

I had the Smurfs for my first set (gives an idea of the era...) and we also used to make things out of Salt Dough a lot... I can't imagine what we would have done with electronics... No wait, I did have a Fisher Price record player and I'd listen to my Bill Cosby LP on it!!!

LOVED shrinky dinks.. and i had the record player and played either sean or david cassidy.. I would SAY now it was sean but man im old.. I just watched the smurfs the other day.. I was say HEY where did these new charcters come from? kids were looking at me like I lost my mind
