I was in the local Best Buy today and actually found someone willing to share a bit of info.
The laptop that will be sold cheap($209 to $229 range) this year will possibly be a Dell. The drawback is NO CD/DVD drive. I believe this is really good info because the person volunteering it has been really go on info in the past ( he is the floor manager). What looks like the best deal is going to be 2 different TV's. One is an incredible deal ( like 60% off normal price). The really good deals will be in the online addition like they did last year. The desktop will be like the last 2 years ( $199).
I have 2 different people in this particular store that are really good about giving info to me and my wife. Yes there is some secrecy surrounding the deals but they cooperate a lot more than Wal Mart.
thanks for the info! I cant wait to hear more on the tv's. I hope they will beat the sears ad buy a ton (even though that is a great price).

I asked him about Black Friday and he said and I will quote "I have seen the ad and we are going to blow another 150 Circuity City stores out of the water with it"
I really hope this is true!

In the past I've gone to Circuity City as my first stop, perhaps this year will be different. Plus, competition amongst chain retailers is good for us... hoping for an awesome Black Friday this year.

I hope he is right too and that I can get stuff online. Last year I tried to go to BB but the line was so long that we ended up going to CC. It was only 5:30pm Thanksgiving and the line wa already to the corner of the building at BB. We ended up being # 11 & 12 at CC until the line jumpers showed up:(

The laptop will not have a CD/DVD drive? I so hope that is wrong. That makes the laptop and without that I might as well play with my kids XO laptop.

I don't think I believe this one, or it would be online by now. I think BB is just lucky that they have no real competition, because they aren't anything to write home about. CC just knows how to disappoint you more than BB when you enter their store.I was at BB yesterday and spoke to someone in the computer area. We were discussing anti virus packages and something to get to make our printer wireless so that we can print from our laptops anywhere.
I asked him about Black Friday and he said and I will quote "I have seen the ad and we are going to blow another 150 Circuity City stores out of the water with it"
He would not give any information because he said that they are told that if they leak info it is an instant dismissal.
I am getting so excited I cant wait to see the BB ad.

Was at the invite event last night. The floor supervisor was saying something about a TV ( $699 on HD TV)on BF that is going to be the best deal of them all on BF.
HP desktop $200
Laptop ( ? brand...this will also be the internet ad) $189 to $209 range
1 other laptop in regular BF ad ( maybe a Sony like last year)
17 Days till I line up!!!!! I am sooooo ready!! Dont need a tv, but the desktop and lappy sounds very interesting.
