I want to buy the Inspiron 9300 laptop. The educational discount usually ends up about the same as the Home version with $750 off coupon except the educational version gets one more year of warranty.

If the specs and price are very similiar then I'd go with Dell educational discount.

Will you be paying for this with a VISA, MasterCard or Amex credit card by chance? If so, which one?

I was thinking of using the Dell account but if there's some savings by using a Visa I could do it that way also.

If you pay for your new laptop with an eligible VISA credit card you'll receive a FREE 1 year extended warranty.

Or if you pay using DPA you'll save 2% but no free 1 year extended warranty.

Which of those would you choose?

Is there any way of getting the additional up to 12% savings for buying extended warranties at the Educational site applied to the Home side?
