allshoppedout Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Thanks much, I decided to try one, good deal $5 !!!! .
epgpjp Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I got this last year. Its OK, but the games are very basic, not much above playing Pong IMO. Kids like it for a short while. Beings you can play 2 players at one time is what keeps their interest. But not real exciting. the case is nice to keep the remotes in. Fits ages around 5 -7 I would say.
allshoppedout Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I think it'll be a good "leave at Grandma's house" game. My mom just has limited cable tv stations...and no computer, so they will have something new to do at her house instead of just watching a dvd...

My mom just has limited cable tv stations...and no computer, so they will have something new to do at her house instead of just watching a dvd...that is what I was thinking. I also think I'll donate one to toys for tots. Some kids who unfortunately do not have a regular game system might appreciate this if they have a TV... (and us 70's kids remember the Pong-style games with fondness, lol. :)

One for DD to play with... at least this game is Daddy's speed as he is not very high tech capable LOL, so he can play with her. And the other 2 are for Christmas toy donations in town.
allshoppedout Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 You people are awesome, way to go, giving back to your community and toys for tots. I am headed back to order some for the same reason. Anyone remember the game with the little "bombs" dropping? on Atari? I set a record in that when I was in grade school LOL, I got a badge for it. Pong was fun too.

deelite Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 These are both available at both etoys.com and kbtoys.com for the same price. There is a seperate thread for both. In case one site sells out you can shoot over to the other one. :)
his_lil_gemini Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 just a thought but if you have a mypoints account...you can shop through them and get credit. I remembered this after i spent $55 at etoys the other day.
cokemeyer Posted October 28, 2008 Author Posted October 28, 2008 thanks for the heads up on the price drop and the fact they they credited you an adjustment! FWIW.....etoys.com and kbtoys.com are the same store, just different "store fronts."
speeddiva Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Thanks! I ordered 3 to use for the school Toy drive!
Kash58 Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Oh oh I think this deal is over or they ran out of stock as this is the message I just got.... "This product will be removed from your shopping cart because it has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase."

I think you are talking about a game called "Kaboom!" It would drop bombs, slow at first and then faster and faster with each wave, and you had to catch the bombs in these water bucket things. I loved that game!

Thank you, I was hoping someone would remember. It was so much fun, that little guy was so cute, wasn't he wearing black/white prisoner garb?
