Promom
DS says that the PSP will do everything that a ipod nano can, plus you can watch movies on it as well as the games. Is this true? I don't want to ask him too many questions because I'm trying to keep him in the dark about this for christmas. He already has the wii and loves it and has a small mp3 which he takes everywhere. I'm scared that he will lose the ipod nano because it's so small. I'm sooo confused...

len_mullen
Apples to Oranges, Promom. My youngest has a PSP and loves it. He plays games on it and that is what it does best. We could put movies and music on it, but it's kind of big for that. My oldest has a Sansa View. No games, but it plays movies and music with grace and style. If he wants a video game, consider the PSP (get $150 off your first $300 purchase using a sony card available from sonystyle.com). If he is wanting to watch movies, get something bigger than a nano. If he wants music, the nano is fine. Take a look at the sansa if you are not already committed to itunes.
Promom
how old is he?He's almost 14. His friend has a psp and he has played on it. But one minute he says he wants a ipod, the next the nano or zune, then it's a psp. What's a mom to do?
conj
ok, he is old enough for either. get a gift certificate to best buy, get an empty PSP box, and empty Ipod box, and an empty zune box (post on freecylce or craigs list asking for them) and package them one inside the other inside the other... with a note saying "you choose"
frmgrl
PSP Madden package at Best Buy is now 179.99 and was 199.00. Cheaper than wal-mart, circuit city, and gam stop. Included in package is the psp player, Madden 2009 game, memory card, charger, etc. Best price i've found on this package. Bought it today! Same price in store as online...plus it was sold out online, yet was in my local store.
