Regular retail price is $349.99, on sale this week for $249.99 plus use the 10% off coupon code APRIVATEOFFER (Thanks to vsa3janes). Voila $224.99 plus tax, and then use the free pick up option. I need a new vacuum, so I think I'm gonna pull the trigger. Carpet, Bare Floors, Pet Hair and Emissions get an excellent rating on the model. Tool air flow and noise get a good rating, with handling getting a fair rating. "CR's TakeA moderately priced model, the 35922 excelled at cleaning both carpet and bare floors and was excellent at keeping emissions low. It is a CR Best Buy. HighsThis model excelled at cleaning both carpet and bare floors. It was also very good at cleaning with tools and performed excellently in the emissions and pet-hair-pickup tests. LowsThe Kenmore was only fair at handling. It was hard to push and pull and somewhat hard to carry. It lacks a retractable cord and is not self-propelled" Anyone have one? I don't want a Dyson, I don't want to do the maintenance nor do I want to spend that kind of money, but I don't want one that isn't going to do a better job than the hunk of plastic I already have. missyjane
Ok I went to Sears last night to check out this vacuum cleaner. They had a customer return for $139.93. It was missing the owners manual but I figured at that price I couldn't pass it up. It still comes with the full warranty plus if in 30 days I change my mind I can return it no questions asked. My husband had swept the house earlier in the day but when I brought the new cleaner home I had to give it a try. I am absolutely amazed. The intelliclean system senses dirt and when it does it boosts up it's suction power until it doesn't sense the dirt in that area anymore. I have 2 dogs and one cat. The problem with the cat hair is that it is so light weight and I have mostly laminate flooring so when I used to sweep alot of times it was like chasing down the hair. This new sweeper just sucked it up edge to edge. It goes under chairs and beds a lot further than my other one used to. As far as the handling issues I didn't find any. When the extra suction is going it's really hard to move around but I just let it suck up that area and the suction will eventually release and then I move it around. (This was on my rug) So with one day under my belt, I do recommend this vacuum cleaner.

missyjane
I really really like this vacuum cleaner. I like going back to the bag instead of emptying the canister in the trash. I honestly think that there is less dust flying around my house. After my husband swept with the old sweeper I used the new one and put a good amount of something in the bag. I think it works really well on both my laminate and my area rugs.
