fulkersonm
Some friends of mine have talked me into renting a booth at a flea market. Now I need to find suitable stuff to sell, besides what I am taking from my house! I would like to buy some wholesale lots of small items, or help some stores go out of business. The way I work I don't have a lot of time to go to yard sales. Any suggestions?
elena_398
I use my coupon savy and walgreens Register rewards to stock pile new items. I have over 300 items that I've gotten free or pennies on the dollar. I resell at the flea market throughout the summer (my mom has a booth so I don't pay a rental fee). I use my money for christmas and extras. Its a real money maker if you learn to coupon and buy clearance items. Some are hit and miss, but for the most part people love a great bargain. Last Saturday I made over $260. Stock is down, but great day
Cheri17
you need a resale license to buy most wholesale,be careful, easy to get scammed.
MathGirl
When you sell at Flea Markets do you file taxes on your sales? I know we do when we sell on Ebay. Is it the same with Flea Markets? I need to clear out some stuff and I don't feel like using Ebay. Some items are large and/or heavy and I don't want to hassle with shipping. elena_398
Yes. We have a vendors license. My mom claims the taxes. She has been fleamarketing for over 30 years. She makes over 36,000 a year just doing fleamarketing. She sells childrens toys, clothes, books, and games. She sterilizings everything and puts new batteries in each toy that needs it. You need a vendors license if you do it full time. The fleamarket my mom sells at does weekly vendor license checks. You don't have one then you get fined big time
