Store Policies

Is there a good place to find out the store policies or do I have to call each one? I'd like to know which stores are best to buy online, which ones can I get price adjustments for and so on? Is there somewhere I need to be looking?

The best area to look online is the help section or corporate info section of a site. You can also Google the stores name and store policies after it. Below is a example for Best Buy.

You can see the first hit is the best. If you are looking for price matching policies during BF I would take the extra step of contacting your local store and talking to the manager. Over the past few years alot of stores have cracked down on price matching on BF and even have special clauses that prevent you from doing it. Also you have to watch out that the stores will have special SKU numbers and model numbers created for BF which prevents you from doing a price match.

Good Luck!

you really need to call the individual store the week before BF to find out their policies, because they vary year-to-year, and even store-to-store in some cases. plus most stores won't finalize their policies for that day (which in many cases are different from their normal year-round policies) until right before the day, so you could call in early november and get one answer and then the week of BF and get a completely different answer.

and as for buying online, it changes every year as well. some stores (walmart, best buy, circuit city, target, sears, kmart, kohls) always seem to put a good number of their BF items online to order, but the exact items aren't known until it happens. we always have a page that we start updating the week before BF that shows all the items we find that are available to order, so just bookmark that page when the time comes and it'll help greatly.

Last year I emailed Target about their Price Adjustment Policy for BF and they said it was the same as it is year round. I printed out my email just in case I had any problems with the policy in-store, thankfully I didn't have any problems.

When asking questions about policies I prefer email since you can print out their response.

I was able to purchase a few BF items off of Circuit City's website last year to pick up at their store. It was great I just walked up to the Customer Service desk and they had everything ready.

I honestly think this is your best bet. Having something in writing is much better than saying, "I was told last week..."
