robertmorr1999
I know alot of people have kids they like to shop for, but is that why most of you go shopping on Black Friday or do alot of you go shopping for yourself. Me, I'm always out looking for things for myself, I hardly shop for anyone else on Black Friday, what about everyone else?
Melissa
I do a little bit of both.
rogue1230
I go out with the intention of getting all my christmas shopping done. However, considering like us all, I have gotten up at an UNGODLY hour, FROZEN my bum off, fought crowds, cutters and ankle biters, I always get a gift for me for my effort! Nothing too big- although this year I think if the Cricut machine is on sale that will be my reward. I also put a good gift under the tree " to me from me with love!" B/c dh, yea, got me a weight watchers scale last year- so he is clearly not great in the idea department. Oh well it's the thought that counts. arci122
BOTH! My DH won't go out that day, so if I see something I want, I buy it and he wraps it.
elena_398
I got out for the kids and my husband and of course my self. Usually impulse buy. lol. This year I have to behave as I am pretty much done with everyone. So if I do go out (duh) I have to watch my impulse spending. Thats how every year my kids' christmas is ridiculous. Presents from the tree to the couch. Haha. This year though my kids want electronics, clothes, etc. I have a 14 yr old and 8 yr old. None want any toys so that is making christmas harder on ideas. My 14 yr old just wants xbox 360 games, Ds system and games, flip camcorder, money, giftcards, shoes. Scary, but I got all the mentioned minus the money as my parents give him that every year. My daughter is where I get in trouble because she is so easy to buy for. Typical girly girl. Wants makeup, jewelry, clothes, purses, webkinz, Ds system and games, and a MP3 player. I got all mentioned plus some. So as you can see, I really don't have to go out. lol

angelbabymommy
I hardly ever shop for myself, its always my daughter (this year, my daughter's). I like to get her done on Black Friday. This year, tho, I plan on picking up a couple things for myself.
justjessie99
My hubby and I have been goin together since forever. We spend Thanksgiving with my parents, and hubby and I get up early an d go shopping while my parents watch the boys. However since hubby has to work this year, I guess it will be just mom and I "girl" shopping.lol

Christy Garner
I normally shop for my dh, and both sons. I try to get a majority of their gifts finished on that day. I do pick me up some surprises along the way for hubby to wrap and put under the tree. However, most of the shopping is for them.
BrotherFlounder
Last year was about half and half, but I imagine this year will be more weighted towards others.

nick_jenni_jocelyn
since i almost delivered our 3rd child on the side of a freeway(making it to the hospital with 13 minutes to spare) I am DEFINITELY getting something for myself, lol. LondonAtDark
I usually do both. Like 2 years ago at Target, I brought Xmas cards, bows, tape, laundry soap etc while I was there and spending money.
Miss Star
Usually me and my mom just shop for ourselves occasionally will pick up something my sister might want and we'll probably be doing that a lot this year since it's my newphews first christmas lol

backpacktwc
I'm really bummed this year, I will not be able to participate in the BF festivities. Unfortunately, I cannot get out of working. I have 11 years in, but still the low man on the totempole. My wifey is going to have to do double duty. Hopefully, this year will have better stuff than last year. It almost wasn't worth going out last year.
sns128
I do both also. Mostly I buy for the family but I sometimes get something just for me.
Spotted1
My main goal is the kids and the husband.. But if there's something I like, I'll nab it for myself, too. :)
msl94
Since my wife usually does the Xmas shopping for her family, I usually have no problem finding things for myself of BF. However, if I can find things that are on someone's list, I will make it a point to pick it up if it is still in-stock.
holidayjunkie
Both, actually. I wanted a Sirius radio for Christmas and I found a good deal on one, so I bought it and dh gave it to me for Christmas, lol!!! He was thrilled because he hates to shop and I got what I wanted. Scanner420
My main goal on BF is to get 80-90% of the holiday shopping done! Kids, DW (for me), In-Laws, Parents, Steps, Niece's, Nephews. I don't even think about getting something for myself unless it's tooo good a deal to pass on, like maybe a video game, or a book I've been wanting. dad2trips
I usually only get one or two things for myself. The rest is for family and friends.
Princess7915
I always do Christmas shopping for others in the morning. Sometimes I'll pick up a really good deal for myself from DH but it get's put away till Christmas. Since DH goes BF shopping too, it's not really shopping for myself as much as "helping him shop" LOL... Then in the evenings I always go back out and do some winter clothes shopping for me. The deals are usually so good at Kohls and JC Penny's that I have plan that trip into our budget the past few years. In the long run it's saved some pretty good money and in the evening the stores are less crowed and clothes are not usually early morning specials you need to hurry to get. dgleason
Both. I always am able to get most of Christmas gifts purchased. It's just too hard to pass up the deals for things I didn't know I "needed" until the price is right.
