We have the regular DS, so the case probably wouldn't fit.

The DS Lite is the latest version. Kind of like the PS3 is the latest playstation. If you get one in the store now it will be the lite.

I believe that their is only one kind of ds game, so that doesn't matter which ds you are using. The Ds also plays game boy advance games as well. Hope that helps :)
