On Black Friday do you head out alone or are you part of a group? I am part of a group. Last year it was me, mom, aunt, cousin, 2 DS, 1 DIL, 1 DD. We divide and conquer usually. We were all in line early. Mom and Aunt went to Circuit City, DD and I went to Kohls, 2DS were at Sears, DIL and her cousin went to TRU, and my cousin and her DD were somwhere else. Our cell phones ring constantly as we call on another to ask questions or change ideas. Then when we get back together we exchange stuff and money.

Every year is different and so far this year it is DD, DIL, Cousin and me.

I dont always go with a group, but its always at least one other person. Last year, it was me and friend 1 and friend 2. So far, its just me and friend 1. We;re the only two that have been talking about BF, so as it gets closer, that may change.

I always go with my mom and my sister, we never bring my younger 3 siblings b/c we buy for them on BF.

We also have exchange students that live with my parents and we usually bring them (if their up to it :)). Usually there are four or five of us who will go!

I used to go by myself because dh is a big chicken, those mean ladies at toys r us beat him up about 12 years ago when I sent him there to get 2 items. But now my boys want to go with me so we'll see. The older one went 2 years ago and did okay, my younger one is really restless, so I don't know.

My DH and I go together. He gets a cart and stands in line and I run and get things.

This year DH has to work:(.... so I guess my mom and I are going. However due to my DH having to work we have been buying alot of things already.....We have the big ticket items out of the way. :tongue1:

I usually go by myself, but last year the 16yo dd wanted to come along. I thought fine, she can stand next to one black wrapped pallet (Wally world) and I'll go to electronics for the portable DVD player. All fine and dandy, until I realized she didn't have her cell. After checking out I had to spend 25 minutes searching the store for her! LOL Not this year, going by myself again.

Me and my DW should be going this year. Barring setbacks like a sudden illness or food poisoning. (then again.....we are slated to go to my in-laws for dinner this year.)

Just me & my old next door neighbor, we started this when we were neighbors about 7 yrs ago & now we have the same plan every year..we agree on the 1st stop & then I get my pick & then him & so on, it's worked out so well we try to discourage other people from joining us!!;) Plus he really does'nt buy much so it works out in my favor:tongue1:

Food poisoning is not a reason to keep you from BF shopping ;). Three years ago, I was sick as can be and still managed to get my butt out of bed at 3 am to go BF shopping (and I am not a morning person ). I had to stop in the bathrooms at the stores to hurl a couple of times, but nothing was going to stop me. After we finished all the stores and went to the mall, my husband insisted we stop by the doctor's office because I was so pale, he thought I was going to pass out. Turns out I did have food poisoning... I knew the turkey we had at a friend's house the day before tasted weird .

Back to the original topic... my DH and I used to go BF shopping just the two of us, but two years ago we invited a friend to join us. She's been going with us ever since, and as far as I know, she will be with us again this year.
