I have two fabulous sons DS9 and DS6 and a step daughter 17. I LOVE to shop!! I work fulltime and truly enjoy my job. I'm the VP of PTO, secretary for baseball league and avid volunteer. I come from a long line of BF shoppers. BF has been a family tradition as far back as I can remember-I was first permitted to go along on the big shopping trip when I was 14! I've been addicted ever since. I also catch myself not making certain purchases throughout the year b/c I know the item is a BF sure thing... I'm Diana and my DH and I recently celebrated our 23rd anniversary (although I always remind him I'm not sure if year #22 counts since he forgot it). Our 2 boys are still at home. DS 21 is working and DS 19 is going to school and works part time. My BIL moved in with us the beginning of this year so we have a full house. So now I'm more organized about it. I've been married for 3 1/2years and have two dogs ( a border collie and a mini dachshund) and one spoiled cat. I work in child care with two year olds. Cal in the fall/winter and live in Canada in the spring/summer months. Now that the CDN dollar is about the same as the US it means I can buy more items!!! I save a LOT on BF as there is no GST or PST and prices are much lower!! I usually do the BF thing solo (I'm single, no kids) though last year a friend came along. He complained about the weather (he was wearing a jacket and pants!) though I was out there all night in shorts and a t-shirt and comfortable. I used to play hockey so I am not opposed to hip checking people who get in my way (Just kidding!!!) I stumbled upon this page the day before BF last year but was too busy to register or post. Economy wise bad year for Christmas shopping, but I'll do what I can. I usually shop outside the city limits due to our high tax rate (thanks Mayor). You can save 20 -30 dollars on some big ticket items buying it outside the limits. We only have 1 walmart in the city of Chicago but I will be hitting suburbs (Skokie) where Best Buy-Circuit City-Walmart are all in the same shopping center. We live with my ederly disabled parents, which we help out. I am also a Nail Specialist Tech also Ebay seller & buyer as well. I usually bring my dad with me on black friday, last year I took my hubby with me.. This year ?? since my dd still believes thankfully in Santa I can not bring her so dad will come with me again .. I also have 3 grandchildren . I have been doing BF for 8 or 9 yrs and in all that time have only talked my husband into going once. He says "Never again!" 3yrs ago I took a friend of mine with me (it was her first time for BF) and now we go every year together and each year we stay out longer we try to set new record each year. It is crazy out there but we have a really good time doing it. Our record to date is 15 hours shopping so we have to top that this year. oh yeah we go out of town to shop there is nothing in our town except a Walmart and a Kmart. I work as a retail manager at LLBean and love it! The most amazing company to work for. I have been a BF addict for about 15 years and always shop with mom and SIL and MIL. We split up and RUN!! I always print out all the ads and have them ready and we meet the weekend before and make a game plan. ON BF morning 3:30 AM my family arrives via backdoor tiptoeing through my house and then the girls go shopping. When I come home my hubby has all the Christmas Decorations up and lunch of grill cheese and tomotoe soup ready. Then I go and work until 11 PM!!! It's my FAVORITE day of the year!!! I haven't done any camping out yet as Ihave not been in desperate need of laptops or TV's (I got mine for an amazing deal ly before BF at Sears). We mostly do toy shopping BUT last year the deals on toys were on Amazon the week AFTER BF. This year may be different. This year I think it will be much worse than other years because people really need deals. Working in an outlet our sales are awesome while the regular retail side slumps.
