When to buy an HP laptop?

Should I wait until July when Laptop prices are usually the lowest? Or whenever the next $500 off coupon comes out?

The best deals are on BF. The next best deals are usually before Christmas and before school starts (July, August). Intel is coming out with new chips for laptops so prices are probably going to drop soon again. If you can hold out for a bit, I think you will get more for your money...just my opinion though.

I am thinking of buying an Acer laptop. Has anyone had good/bad experience with ACER product, service dept or warrantee? Thanks.

My DS bought me an ACER desktop for Christmas..it is very nice and the mouse went

recently and I just called and they sent me a new one...no hassle.

 

I did not want another Dell as I have had too amny issues with their cs or lack their of

we are thinking of getting a laptop for our soon-to-be 13 year old...obviously this is not going to be the laptop he will take to college, but something for him to play his games on as well as do word processing and research for papers...

 

I am really unsure exactly what to look for and what prices to expect...I'd like to do it for his birthday which is the end of October, so waiting for Black Friday is out...

I would try Walmart for a laptop. They have HP, Dell, Toshiba and Acer models. There are even some markdowns that vary from store to store. All in all, I've heard of people that are very pleased with either Toshiba or HP laptops. I don't know very much about Acer, other than one of my first desktops was that brand and it was very nice. Never needed to call customer service on it. HTH.

Love my HP, did not like my Dell.

We have an HP laptop. Something went goofy with the screen. They shipped us a Fedex box, we sent it back (all free), they fixed it quickly. The whole thing was less than a week. It was a refurbished laptop, and we've had it 3 years now. Just the one issue that was taken care of so quickly.

I am also wanting to purchase an HP laptop for my daughter who will be going to college in the fall. If anyone knows of any deals on HP laptops that would be great!

This is a good deal from Office Depot for 599. I was helping my dd's best friend look for one and this is the one she got. I think today is the last day for the sale though. She loves it. I had already gotten dd one (it's an HP with almost exactly the same specs) or I would have gotten this for her, too.
