elena_398
My daughter has begged for some Webkinz (is spelling right?). I was in JC Penny's today and they have them red tagged for 9.99 down from $14.99. First, is this a good price? It will be even lower for me as I have a 15% off coupon from doing the survey from today's purchases. Second, how does this actually work? My son tried to tell me it costs money for tokens or something like that on the website. any info on these things would be great. Just so happens JC Penny's has the ones she wants. Im going to buy her 2 for her birthday coming up. thanks for any help. Im clueless on these
dtwdmaty
I'd say that $8.50 for full size webkinz is a good price. I think anything under $10 is pretty good if it's one they want. Once you have the doll, you don't need to pay for anything else for a year. Then, if they still care, you can get another toy. They can "earn" points on the site to buy virtual things, but they do that by paying games, etc. My two are 7 and 10 and they love the darn things and have kept up with them ever since they came out. As a mom, I think it's a pretty cute way for them to have internet fun in a safe environment.
KBsDarling
Dd and myself both have accounts and play ALOT...I would NOT buy the penny ones as Penny in no way protected the codes and have heard ALOT of them once purchased were already activated....very simple to write the code down and leave the pet... Anything under 10$ is a very good price. Right now Limited too has them buy one get one free making them 8.50 each. Depending on when she will get it you may consider the Pet of the month...she will get extra goodies and get to do extra activities through out the month...LMK if you would like to know the next couple month pets If you are looking for info on them there are several forum/sites dedicated to them...webkinzinsider.com lots of info but forums are very ...young....and adultkinz.com for all of us parents that have been suckered in LOL Also any question just ask...sadly i will probably know

jazzy442
I just purchased 7 of them through a seller on amazon called costume kingdom. After my giftcards for surveys I paid $27 out of pocket. I don`t think that was bad at all for 7. I got the black cat, a alley cat, pink and white cat, siamese cat, white poodle, black poodle and a frog. dgagnon
My local Hallmark store is having a webkinz extravaganza on April 25-27 If you make a $10 purchase you will get a free webkinz. Supplies are limited so we are going to go on the 25. I am not sure if all Hallmark stores are doing this but thought I would pass it on. I am curious as to what the pet of the month is :) My kids each got a lil kinz for Easter and allready have added to their collection.... So I am guessing it is a hit :)

I love Hallmark anyway...spending $10 is never a problem. Your DD will love the Webkinz. It is a great toy, and it does NOT cost you more money after you get it. Your "subscription" for lack of a better word, will last a year and then you have to activate a new pet, to keep the old ones active. But for the cost, I think that is fair. I LOVE to play tiletowers!!! It is addictive:rolleyes:!! If she has a friend that could come over to her you/her set it up and explain some of the activities..that would help for sure. There is a lot of cool stuff to do on the website!
