Heather_0617
Try jumping way up to the little girls section instead of the toddler section. Many kids are still kinda chunky through the toddler years and slim down as they get a little older so toddler sizes tend to have a little more room int he waist and butt. Also some kids in the 3T and 4T sizes are still in diapers so I feel the T sizes are cut just a little roomier to accomidate that as well. Or so it seemed to me. Try the XS in the girls section or see if the 4 slims in the girls section work. You may have to roll up the cuffs, but that's better than them falling down her butt. You know I never thought of that, that is a good idea! I will try that the next time I am out with her. It never fails that if I buy something for her without trying it on, I need to return it. Thank you for the suggestion. And you are right, it is better to cuff than to see her hiney! lolI did check online at Gymboree and can't find any pants in Toddler sizes that are slim. Thank you for that too, I wish it would of worked.
erinplus3
Sorry I wasn't more clear, I do know that the slim sizes for Gymboree start at size 4.
mominsmalltown
I have three very small girls and am becoming quite the expert in slim clothing. Old Navy has a great jean for slim girls that need a little more length. I totally agree with the person that stated to try to get out of toddler and look in the girls section, they carry 5 slim, but be careful they do have some jeans, the "Darling" line that runs larger than some of the other lines, even in the same store. Not only does my oldest DD want "big" girl jeans but she wants low waisted and not skinny, she does look like a toothpick in skinny tan cords. Good luck! If I didn't have twins right behind her I'd mail you hers as she grows out. If you know anyone that can use 4T mostly from Old Navy I have everything in twos. :)
Heather_0617
Just an update - went to Old Navy, J C Penneys, Children's Place, Gap, and Gymboree today looking for pants/jeans for my daughter. NO LUCK anywhere, I give up! She will be in leggins and dresses for a while. I did learn that Gymboree has a size 3 that is not 3t. Toddler sizes are cut for diapers and that is why they are too big at the waist. But even that regular 3 with the waist adjusters pulled all the way fell off her hiney. I did try moving up to a girls 4 slim and they were too long so that didn't work either. Thank you for all your help.
gingersunshine
just to add here, at most jcpenney's they have alot of slim pants on the clearance racks when they go to 70% off. i have traveled between ga,tn, ky, oh, mi and all of them seem to have lots when the clearance is between 50-70% off. i have one plus size child and one slim size, so i am always looking for clothes for the next year.
