Excited about Walmart!

I know, sounds crazy right? My daughter and I went over there just now to pick up some pizza (they are the ONLY ones in the entire area who carry Totinos), and checked out the toy clearance (still way too high!), found this one toy her friend has that she just HAD to have:rolleyes: (it was $9 so i said ok). Then we checked the wagons...they had a sign on the Radio Flyer floor model saying that the floor model was $30! ($69.xx normally)...they had ONE left in a box...so I figured it was just for the display model one, but we tracked down an associate (no easy task at Walmart, but we were determined), he tracked down another, a price gun was located...a supervisor was tracked down on her way out of the store...and she said we could have the one in the box for $30 since it was technically the same "model" as the floor model w/the sign!

 

They carried it over to sporting goods to check us out...but 20min and 4 people later we couldn't track down a supervisor to override the $69.xx price!!! Finally one showed up to the 200 pages sent out...and it didn't look good that she was going to agree to the price (she kept pointing to the display model and stating that it was just for that one...but to the first associates credit he asserted that the TOY manager had approved it before she left). In the end they gave it to us (in the box) for $30 stating that Walmart could handle losing $40 to keep a customer happy Awesome.

Good buy! Target has those on sale now too. By the way, I checked our stores toy clearance and it is all way too high. I keep scanning the Easy Link system and it comes up $13, no change for weeks! However, they had a pack of the Cifford links for $1, down from $5 a week ago. I totally do not ubderstand their markdown system!

I don't understand their mark down system either. We went in today to look for a gift and they had stuff that had been on clearance back to the regular price...and had left part of the white and red clearance stickers showing. Found this on 3 different types of toys.

I noticed this on toys in the clearance area as well. Think it's pretty dirty for them to do that especially when half of the clearance sticker is still on it.

 

I saw tonight that Walmart had clearance things all over the store, not just in the clearance isles. I picked up some picture frames and they had some bathroom stuff but I didn't have time to look. Maybe they are just trying to clear out room for new Spring items.
