BoulderChick Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Hi Everyone, My brother asked my Mom to make copies of a bunch of papers for when he goes to the review board (he's in the Army stationed in Iraq). I have not counted, but there is at least 100 documents that need to be copied. And of course he asks her this morning via email and says he needs it sent out on Tuesday.(boys) They just need to be black and white copies, nothing fancy. Which national copy places have the best prices? Staples, Office Depot, Kinko's, etc..... I rarely use copy places so I am unable to tell her where to go. I checked the different websites, but didn't find prices for simple B&W copies. I also tried to call and most places I called, I was on hold for at least 5 minutes and then disconnected. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated:yup: Thanks in advance and have a great day!!!
trbarginhunter Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Around here, it's Office Depot. But if there is a local business supply/print shop near your mother's house, she might want to call there, our local place is cheaper.
MandaJo111 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I am not sure who has the best prices, but personally, I have scanned documents and emailed them. My husband was able to print them out. He may not be in an area where this is possible though. My husband handles all of the promotions, review boards and all. So trust me when I say the faster they get the paperwork the better. One guy in his unit did not get to go to the board because his wife could not find a paper he needed in order to get it there in time.

He is able to print. Thank You!!! Luckily my brother is very organized and he has all of his papers together. I'm not sure why he didn't bring them with him. My brother will be soo happy. Maybe I will email them and copy and send them. Thank you!!!
MandaJo111 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I would just email them to him and in the email tell him you will gladly go copy them as well and send them if he wants. That way he has them right away no matter what. My DH is the same way he keeps everything in a binder in page protectors. That way we always know where it is. What rank is your brother going for?
BoulderChick Posted January 8, 2008 Author Posted January 8, 2008 Hi MandaJo111, I let my brother know that we emailed them to his yahoo account (he seems to have less issues with that email) and that Mom sent the copies out today. My brother also keeps everything in a binder with page protectors:yup: I belive he is going for Staff Sergeant. I don't talk to him that much about the Army, I guess because when my Dad was in the Navy, as a kid I really didn't talk to him about the Navy. In a way it dosen't make much sense, but in a way it does. My Mom says it's because I worry too much, so not talking about it means that I worry less.:) I do know that he'll be home in April, and that makes me soooooo HAPPY!!! Thanks for all of your help, I appreciate it a great deal! Kim
MandaJo111 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 You are very welcome. I am just glad I could be of help. Good luck to your brother on the board. The higher up the harder they are, but I am sure he has been doing lots of studying. April is not far away at all. I think this last part for me will go by faster now that I am pregnant. (We got pregnant in December when he was home on leave). Now I will be focusing a lot on the pregnancy and the ten thousand appointments and it will be August before I know it. :)
