Dell Shipping Problem

Another shipper situation that happened to us today. Didn't know where to post it.

 

Dell laptop reported as 'delivered' on both dell.com and dhl.com. (Dell upgraded to Next Day Air). Dhl tracking shows delivery signature as "scanning error". Needless to say I'm wondering who signed for the package since my sister was home all day (She's in AZ, we're in NY).

 

She got hold of the local dhl office. Person stated that 'scanning error' means it was not delivered. Gave her the option to pick it up or that they'd deliver it Saturday or Monday. (It is in their local warehouse and they don't know if it will be delivered tomorrow???) And they reported to Dell that it was delivered!!!!

 

I sent Dell an email to report this since the system was certainly not received and it seems that dhl is ripping them off...While dell doesn't pay the shipping charges individuals pay for Next Day Air, it must certainly cost them more than std delivery.

 

I requested Dell to contact dhl to make sure it is delivered Saturday, tomorrow since who can trust a company that tell all parties it has already been delivered??

Computer delivered Saturday. But was a very strange situation...the tracking info that is...Dell was quick to reply that a replacement was being worked on...Luckily, it was not needed...
