This little camcorder is Priced as a clearance item at CVS for $49.00! Cost $99.00 or more everywhere else. Found it at Target and Rite Aid Drugs for $129.00 This is the 30 min version. White in color. I have purchased almost twenty to date for friends and family. Two more this morning. THIS IS NOT THE DISPOSABLE CAMCORDER, also sold at CVS for around $29.99 which you bring in to the store and leave with the clerk. In return you get a DVD with your videos on it. Yes you have to pay for the DVD also. You don't get the camera back! You don't want the disposable one. These were all purchased in the Michigan area. Most of the clerks don't even know they are on sale! Make them scan the item, it will come up $49.99. You have to have your CVS card! Ask for the Point and shoot camcorder. It will be behind the counter in the photo area. The package is the size of a yellow pages, clear, plastic blister pack. Photo of a lady holding a baby in the air on the package. Can't beat 50% off. The sale has been on all summer. Email me for more info.

You have to have the card, but most of the clerks have a store card they keep at the register. I've seen them use it to help customers that don't have the card yet. You can fill out the application at the counter, and use the discount at that time. You can also ask the guy standing behind you in line. The clerks don't mind this at all. Thats done quite a bit. Good luck. Most of the store clerks told me the stock will not be replaced because it was a clearance item. So you might have to go from store to store. A few clerks were kind enough to call the stores in the area for me first to check stock. P.S, the item won't show up on their web sight!

Yes this one is by Pure Digital and it is the 30 minute one. I just picked it up. I didn't have a card and it still rang up as 49.99.

My 10 year old was asking for a camcorder for Christmas - this is a deal you cann't beat. It hooks directly into your PC/MAC and comes with a cable for the tv, a carrying case and a wrist strap.

Attention CVS shoppers, these things come with two AA batteries, slightly more than half of the 20 or more units I purchased had run down or dead batteries. The package is made so you can play with the camera in the store. If after pressing the "TRY ME" button the video hangs up, it's the batteries! Nothing wrong with the camera Save yourself some trouble and look for a charger at the same time. I have had good luck with a AA battery charger I found at BIG LOTS. It was made by a company called Digital. Small in size, held and came with two AA batteries. $5.99. The same charger was at Radio Shack for $14.00. The CVS chargers were a bit high. Most of the office stores, Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, have chargers on sale every week or so. Shop around!

Hi SweetiePoosMom, I live In Michigan, I came accross these things back in June or July I just mailed one to my sister in Maryland, cost about $10.00 with insurance and a CVS shipping envelope. Wish I could help you. Would the added $10.00 erase the savings for you? If not I don't mind snagging one for you and shipping it. Just have to arrange payment some how.

Attention CVS shoppers#2 For those of you that don't want to drive all over town, I was reminded by a friend that other stores will (PRICE MATCH). Rite Aid Drugs sells the same camcorder for $129.00! I walked accross the street to the CVS and purchased their last three for $49.00ea and went back to Rite Aid and asked if they would match the price. When the clerk saw the price difference he almost had a baby in the isle. Told me to come back when the manager was there. They had atleast six in their display case. Their stock was not moving. Lets face it, know one goes into the drugstore to spend $100.00 or more on toys. We can just afford our medication. So for those of you who have the stomach for it, try to wrestle the clerks down to match the price of CVS. Good Luck!

I would absolutely love one of these. I checked at least 3 CVS stores in my area and nothing. Is this only in Michigan?? This would be the perfect present for my ds but I cannot afford to pay full price!! Has anyone seen one in Florida??

:eyepoppinYou guys are killing me with these great CVS finds. The closest one to me is 400 miles away.

I am very much enjoying reading everyones actions at CVS, I do agree with you that I am a little envious as I only go to CVS when I travel. They haven't seen a reason to come to Alaska yet. Have fun everyone.

I saw the 60 minute one on my local morning show and it looked and played very good. Is the amount of minutes the only difference between this one and that one? and of course the price.

I've tried calling every store in Greensboro. The sales associates seem to think I'm crazy and try to offer me the disposable version! AAGGGGHHHH! Anyone having any luck at all in NC?
