tkoran Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I managed to snag a WII for the kids for Christmas and am wondering if I should pick this up (can get it for $19.99) or if the bowling that comes with the system is good enough. Thanks! Tami
Xfeg Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I wouldnt. The bowling in the game is great. You use your own mii. There are better games to spend $20 on. Best Buy had some in their cheap games in the checkout aisle.
tkoran Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 Thanks! I think I'll pass on this one. :)
fairydustcrissy Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Yeah, the Wii Sports bowling is my go-to game, lol. I play it more than anything else!
tkoran Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 Oh good! I'm really looking forward to trying that game out. I've had the WII stashed for 3 months already and it's just killing me to not be able to tell the kids I have it and play with it myself.
Ripn Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Yeah, the Wii Sports bowling is my go-to game, lol. I play it more than anything else!Same here...I am really not a good bowler(in real life...maybe get 130 to 150), but I (the Dude) am a PRO bowler on the Wii
mscrapper Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Be careful, my arm was sore because I bowled too much in one day. lol. It is very addictive!!!!
Scanner420 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Keep it simple and spend it on another game/gift!!!
tsa Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I agree no sense in buying another bowling game. However, if you are looking for a $20 Wii game, I recommend the Wii Zapper. It is a shooting game. It has a gun attachment and comes with a great game. Walmart around here sells them for $20, Target for $25. Have fun

I cant wait to play Links Crossbow Training! Any reviews?
tkoran Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 I saw the Zapper a couple of weeks ago and passed it up because I didn't realize a game came with it. Now it's out of stock of course. I'll keep looking though. :)
wolfdevil Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I had picked up AMF Bowling Pinbusters a few weeks ago. After reading this thread I took it back to my local Gamespot last night. I had a 10% of coupon since I registered at Gamespot's web site and picked up a Wii Zapper with the Crossbow training for 22.49 (after 10% of fof 24.99). I could not find it at any of my local stores who had it for 19.99 (Target, Circuit City, Best Buy).
khuddle Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 This sounds like a great game for my hubby!!!
kubla77 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 If you ever want to find game reviews, I recommend metacritic.com. They compile reviews from a bunch of different publications and websites. And by the way, the AMF bowling game gets very low marks across the board... most reviewers say that the bowling game in wii sports that comes with it is much better as many peoiple have mentioned.
tkoran Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 Thanks for the review website address! I'll check that out. I do prefer to get reviews from general users instead of professionals or hard core gamers since they have a different view of games like this.
