mahalia52 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Is this pretty good? Thanks for the heads up...
mahyar1 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Horrible reputation. Check out the reviews on Amazon. 79 reviews and 51 of them gave it 1 star! That's beyond abysmal. They couldn't pay me to put this on my PC.

I got it last year at the BB BF sale for $4.99 and it is not worth that much. It is constantly creating its own popups even though it blocks everyone elses. The parental controls only pick up in internet explorer instead of covering all internet browsers (ie....Msn....Firefox). So even though I had it set on only allow certain websites, my kids were still able to go anywhere on the web. Plus it is sooo confusing! The navigation of this new verson of McAfee is like a hamster running in a wheel...around and around in circles. The older verson was much much better. But during a routine update to my older verson (on another computer), they FORCED me to upgrade to this one or they threatened with no more updates. Terrible terrible product.
