Brad
The price keeps dropping on this. $198 for a DVD player and TiVo Series2 DVR with free TiVo Basic service - can't beat that :)
i-bystander
I know! It's been calling my name.....must.....resist....temptation..... Is the rebate still available? I hope the price for the one with the DVD Recorder drops too. EDIT:Just checked and the rebate is still available (until April 30, 2005), making this an even better deal at >$100. Brad
The rebate does require you to activate the regular TiVo service at $12.95 per month, at least until they process the rebate, so there is some added cost in doing that. Plus the possibility that you'll become addicted to the "Plus" level of service and won't want to go back to the free "Basic" service :) The rebate says it is valid for new or "certified factory renewed". The one at OS is "factory reconditioned", so I'd guess that it is the same and you will get the rebate. i-bystander
I already have a TIVO w/ a lifetime subscription, so it would probably be $6.95/mo for me. I just want the bigger HD, not so much the DVD player, that's why I'm holding out for the one with the burner - now that one I would snap up in a minute! If you're tired of missing shows or VCR programming madness, this is the product to buy.

Did you actually hook yours up already? :)

Well I did unpack mine and activated it on Tivo's web site, hasn't been hooked up yet though.

I thought you meant he was having issues about his rebate. One of my co-workers still haven't received his rebate and I think it's going on 3-4 months now. Well I did unpack mine and activated it on Tivo's web site, hasn't been hooked up yet though.Well, that's certainly a step in the right direction!
