I'm pretty sure that you convert mp3 files to the fp3 format to put on the unit. You just can't put the purchase Fisher Price stuff on a regular mp3 player.

I was able to find a pink one on clearance at Target for $14.97 in the summer. I bought a cheap SD card on BF for my 5yr DD so she can get an "mp3" player like her older brother and sister.

Here is the description from the Fisher Price website.

You can put songs other than what is on the fisher price site but you do have to convert them like masylimed said.

That is the only thing stopping me from buying it. Wondering if it is going to be too time consuming.

I have this for both my girls. Had them for a year now. They are TOUGH. My 4 year old has dropped it thrown it you name it. The thing keeps working. Heck the baby chewed on it a few times and it is still fine. You can convert stuff to put on it and the stories are fun. I highly recommend them. There is a speaker dock for them to my girls love

I got these for my boys (one it getting his for Christmas, as he just turned 2 in Sept, and the other got his for Easter), and my oldest loves it! We have his Wiggles CDs on it, so we don't have to listen to them as a family on long trips! I got theirs on clearance at Target months ago, for about $25.xx! And I got a pink one for a niece for Christmas for $12.xx!
