Deekayjo Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I read walmart reviews, ordered it, then read amazon reviews. Says something about not mp3 format, but fp3 so cant downloadmp3 songs, so am I limited to thier web site? I dont know now if it was such a good deal.
sherril Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 I hope spmeone posts that know for sure cause I was under the impression you can put any music on it
cashandra Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 The only music you can put on their is from the fisher price site, and I *think* the music costs money to download.
masylimed Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I'm pretty sure that you convert mp3 files to the fp3 format to put on the unit. You just can't put the purchase Fisher Price stuff on a regular mp3 player. http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/fisher-price-kid-tough/4505-6490_7-32025567.html I was able to find a pink one on clearance at Target for $14.97 in the summer. I bought a cheap SD card on BF for my 5yr DD so she can get an "mp3" player like her older brother and sister.
Fishboysmom Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Here is the description from the Fisher Price website.http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2621&e=mainproduct&pid=37225&acccat=fp3acc&mainid=37225You can put songs other than what is on the fisher price site but you do have to convert them like masylimed said. That is the only thing stopping me from buying it. Wondering if it is going to be too time consuming.
Fishboysmom Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Does anyone know if you can use other headphones with this?
masylimed Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I haven't opened the package yet, but it looks like a normal size headphone jack.

debbieshops2003 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Does anyone know if you can use other headphones with this?Headphones play at a safe volume for little ears
Just Me Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I have this for both my girls. Had them for a year now. They are TOUGH. My 4 year old has dropped it thrown it you name it. The thing keeps working. Heck the baby chewed on it a few times and it is still fine. You can convert stuff to put on it and the stories are fun. I highly recommend them. There is a speaker dock for them to my girls love
cokemeyer Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 You can put any music on it - my kids have the whole Hi-5 CD they love on theirs....but it was time consuming to do it. These are neat but we got them as a gift - I wouldn't spend the money myself unless my child was a complete music nut, which mine aren't...
tripsplusone Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I just bought 3 for my 4 year olds and am assuming once you buy a song from their site you have access to that song or story to reload or put on a second (or third) FP3 am I assuming correctly (I hope)? Thanks
tripsplusone Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Ordered it yesterday afternoon, came UPS today can't beat that for 97c shipping

And I got a pink one for a niece for Christmas for $12.xx!
