LEGO BRICKMASTER?? Anyone have it?

Recommended Posts

Lego has a "brickmaster" club-- it's $39.99 u get a magazine and 6 legos during the year-- wondered if anyone had it-- and if it was worth it. Also get free admission to LegoLand in CA which doesnt do me any good.

Was going to order, but they charged 6.99 ship plus tax came to $45 and I really questioned the value. Anyone have it??

I purchased it last year for my DS for his birthday. He loved getting his lego package every two months. The brickmaster magazine was very different and had cooler things in it than the free magazine. He wanted me to renew again this year and still asks about it. My problem was that the sets were really small at first. I would guess they cost about $3-$5. Towards the end of the subscription they changed and we started receiving the $5.99 sets you can buy in the stores. I did see that they were now sending out exclusive sets only for brickmaster. I have been waiting for a few months to see if they change anything else. I never used the $5 coupons or the admission ticket. Was not happy with it, but they seem to be changing the things I had issues with. Hope this helps!

My son has had this for two years and loves it. He enjoys getting the Legos every other month. Even thou are sometimes small he stills enjoys getting them and working on them. Especially now with the special club only Legos. The magazines are really neat and he even built something just to send in a picture of it to hopefully be in the magazine. As far as the cost, I look at it this way. You get 6 Legos sets that would average $5.oo so thats $30.00. I use the $5.00 off at the Lego stores so that makes it $35.00. Then I use the ticket and sell it on eBAY since I live to far to go and that brings $25.00 for a total of my estimates of $60.00. For me that makes it well worth it and escpecially his excitement every other month when he receives some mail addressed to him. I would recommed it to anyone to try it at least one year!

We're in the club - we were signed up for free when the kids had Legoland passes a couple of years ago (it's near Gma's house) and they never took us out. Apart from the Legoland store discount, I've never used it. Even though they send me deals each month, they never seem that good. You can usually find better deals at TRU or Target (although I have to say the Lego deals seem to be lacking this year!).
