pumkinmomof2 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 at our local sears this morning. I guess thats one way to shoot yourself in the foot on black friday.
juanadeal Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 At mine, all the registers were offline. We had to wait for mgrs to run around and get sku's for things to be inputed manually. The cards went through just fine though.
dawsonb Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 No suprise here. This happened the past two years at our local Sears.
cpg117 Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 This happened once this summer at my local Sears but the computer outage was caused by a lighning strike. They had to call on every single credit purchase and the lines were outrageous. I was going to pay cash and asked why couldn't they open a cash only line and get those peoples sales and was told they could not and would not do that so left my stuff behind and never went back. People were buying for back to school and I wonder how many sales they lost that day. I couldn't believe how rudely I was treated for suggesting a cash only lane and sent an email to them and the manager from the store was suppose to call about the matter but never did. The nice thing about caller id is you know they never did and it just didn't happen when you weren't home.
HAnderson Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 I feel bad for the people that was working at sears its inconvienent for the buyer. But can you imagine the Estra work the employee was having to do and then having to deal with the cranky customers on top of that.
