Just wanted to give a heads up to those thinking about PM the 46" Sharp Aquos 1080p at Sears. I just took the ad in and the sales person checked to see that they had it in stock and PM'ed with no issues. I even got the 10% price difference, which was an extra $100 off. The total came to $1271 after taxes and the whole trip to Sears took about 25 minutes from start to finish.

I was able to successfully get mine PM'ed at around 12pm local time. Couple of almost no-goes. At first the guy couldn't look up the sears # cause their internet page was not loading...and he could not find it on the list. Called the wife, she looked it up online and found the sears part #. Brought it back to the line...another guy (much more approachable) looked over the CC ad for a few minutes I told him "it says two day sale!" he said OK. Looked it up through ordering system and mine is coming in on Dec 4. Of course if they don't have anymore in their warehouse you may be out of luck by now. But I got mine.

Awesome deal!!!!! Thanks everyone.

I have to thank you guys!!! I would never have even considered PMing. And actually, I didn't believe it was going to work. My DH went to Sears at 4:30 this morning and waited to get the $999 Sharp. There was a woman in front of him in line that took 13 min!!!!!!!!!! No one in line behind her got what they were waiting for.

So, my mom and I were picking up an ipod case around noon and I decided to ask about PMing the Sharp 1080p. It was crazy cause the morning sale was coming to an end. The guy said they could PROBABLY do it. I told him I'd come back later. Still all the while thinking in my head there was NO WAY they would really give me $1200 off.

So, after napping, I went back around 6pm. I asked the clerk, and still wasn't convinced it was going to work.

With in 10 min, I'd purchased the TV at the CC price + 10%!!!

You guys ROCK!!!

I went to a Sears here in GA at around 7:30 walked back to electronics. I saw the TV on display a clerk walked up to me and asked if I needed any helped. I pulled out my CC ad and showed him and he said as long as its not the doorbuster deals they'll PM it. He checked stock and said they didn't have any but they would order on for me and it would be there for me to pick up on Tuesday. So I got it for $1299. I didn't ask about the 10% and he didn't offer, I was just happy to get the CC price. Anyways I paid and was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

My husband went back and tried to argue it all the way up to the store manager and it was still a no go...they said the price match was below their cost and they would not do it.

Well that is true, I know a guy who wholesales the TV's and he was surprised to hear I would get a deal that good.

I tried that to but my Sears had to verify CC had it in stock or else they couldn't offer me the deal. Needless to say CC is out of stock so no TV for me

That was probably the most valid argument for them not doing it. In fact that almost happened to me. I was shooting the breeze with the salesguy and somehow it slipped out of my mouth. He said they weren't supposed to, but he was cool about it anyway especially since he looked it up in his system and saw that Sears could order one in.

I would print out the page on Sears.com that talks about their pricematch policy. I don't really see anything about limited stock as a way to void their pricematch policy. In fact when you think about it isn't everything limited stock?

We also price matched the TV at the Nashua, NH location it went very smooth...110% difference. We ordered them for delivery today. Well Buyer Beware! When I called to confirm delivery I was told there was a delay because Sears oversold the TV's and they are not sure now if they will be able to meet the demand. I am really angry! I called and spoke with the electronics manager who is, let's just say no too friendly, and he said we have to wait till Monday for him to call the warehouse. I did receive a phone call from a delivery specialist manager who said she was emailing the Sears GM and that we would receive a comparable TV if that one was not available. I clearly told her I was not accepting a no name model and she said it would be one, Sony, Sharp, Samsung that retails for $2299.99...

So I'm going to the store Monday to get this taken care of. I knew it was just too easy on Friday.

I say relax and let Sears get the tv back in stock at that price. The deal is long gone so if you get one, consider yourself very lucky. I used to live in Nashua and I know that Sears isnt always a pleasant experience but they will get it right.

Well I went to Sears this morning and was able to get a Sony Bravia retailing for $2499 as my 2 replacements for delivery tomorrow morning...so I'm pretty happy with the way it all worked out. And I'm getting a $75 gift card for the trouble.
