CoolRuthie Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Does anyone know if this TV is really HD? I don't see it when I click in to look at the pic.
kdetman Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I went to Target yesterday to look at this tv. I did not see anything on the box that said HD. It says computer monitor/TV/DVD. I was not very impressed with it and didn't get it. Call your store and ask them about it.
jelee3 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 The online ad says: TRUTECH® 19" 1080i WIDESCREEN LCD HDTV WITH BUILT-IN DVD PLAYER
BellaVita Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I just came from target and it did not say HDTV on the box. So I did not buy it either.
moondancer69 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I went to target the other day to look at it.. not impressed at all. the contrast ratio is only 400:1 which pretty much sucks. it wasn't clear AT ALL compared to all the other tv's. I ended up purchasing the $199 element tv that they have on sale this morning at curcuitcity.com.
gaelicred Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Bought one for my 9 year old daughter this morning then brought it back 2 hours later with about 35 other people doing the same thing. It was not hd it was a pile of junk:mad:
erinplus3 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 I didn't look closely at them, but I saw one in every other cart leaving Target this morning. Some people had two of them.
wortmanfamily Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 We have both of our hooked up right now...no problems............
cavedude Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 I got mine set up with my cable hd source, picture is perfect!. who says this is not hd? the specs on the tv say HD 1080i and the picture is as good as my 32 hd 1080i lcd. The built in DVD player works pretty good also. this $199.00 lcd and the 30gb Zune i got for $70.00, in my opinion are the best deals of this BF...
trbarginhunter Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 We looked at this in several different Target stores last week, compared it to others and decided to buy it. It's perfect for us--and our DD will be thrilled!
plmarquis Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 We purchased this TV a few days back, put it up, and had it taken back down within hours. It is super cheesy. I was pretty disappointed. You get what you pay for, and this is a perfect example. I ended up going and getting the 32" Olivea at KMart on Thanksgiving day. Obviously a much bigger TV but the picture quality is night and day. Worth the extra $$$
jon1nba Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 If you hook up a Hd Tv to a non Hd source you will Get Cr*p for a picture . The best way to see how good of picturre you get is to play a DVD or hook it up to a true HD source!
chan1 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I bought the 19" TV for my bedroom: just because this does not need clutter of equipment/wires: built in DVD. Yes, this is HD ready. I need an HD receiver from comcast: probably I will not buy it. DVDs play well. I hooked this up with my stereo system and the sound is simply superb. With hubby working at target: I ended up paying about 190 with tax. Great deal.
gdulaney Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Does anybody else have feedback on the TV? We bought one and are trying to decide if we should return it... Thank you!! Ginny
ilalynch Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Did I miss a good sale???? I am trying to find a TV for my daughter but don't want to pay TOO much money!
jelee3 Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Um yeah... it was a Black Friday sale...LOL.
