It's been on display and available for sale for quite a few months now, just not at the BF price!

Target 37" Olevia $549
I asked my local target last week if they would price adjust for the 2 day ad, they said no. I had read earlier that others had heard from corporate they would, so I wrote to Target Corporate and they responded they do price adjust on the 2-day. I went to my local Target today, double checked with the manager (who could not believe it) and he assured me since "corporate says" he would do the price match.

I picked up my Olevia 37" today (clerk said there were only 4 in the back) so I will avoid the pre-dawn lines next Friday, and later on next Friday I will get my price adjustment!

If this TV is on your shopping list you may want to do this also.

E-Mail From Target:
Thanks for your e-mail regarding our policy on price adjustments.

Is Olevia any good? I heard out of the "off" brands of LCD tvs, Olevia didn't really rate all that high. For the price, its perfect for a tv LCD which thats what I want it for! Anyone have a site with ratings for this particular model?

Model 237T. Does it match my Samsung....no, but so far I am very pleased with what I see. It is a secondary TV just hooked up to cable, not a HiDef source, but that is all I want it for. For the $$$$ I don't think you can go wrong IMHO.

Thats all I need it for. A bedroom tv. Thats on my husband's wish list. Im going to go into Target tomorrow and see if they will price match if I buy it then. Im going to copy the letter sent from corporate and bring it in with me. Hopefully I can avoid the camping out for it. I figure its never going to leave the bedroom and no systems are ever going to be hooked up to it, so no need for the bells and whistles. I just may pick this one up.

Think I could convince you to forward me a copy of that email? I emailed a few days ago and haven't heard back from them yet.. :( I had a nice ten minute 'discussion' with someone at my Target who told me I was SOL on an adjustment on the PS3 games I bought.

I went to Target tonight and asked the nice people at the front desk. They said that they would do a price adjustment. As such, I picked up the TV. It's a great deal for the BF price!

When I went in to buy this TV, there was only one Olevia 37" set on display and it said it was 720. When I asked the sales guy if that was the same one in the black Friday ad, he said it was, and that sometimes the little description there under the sets get outdated. Sure enough, when he brought it out, the box said 1080. And like others have said, it's the 237T model.

I bought mine Saturday. It is a good TV. I think the issues with the managers not approving the PM on Black Friday are their own ideas. If you get turned away when you do go in to PM, then try another Target or try a different manager.
