What is your plan of attack?

It seems that the trend is for the outlets to all open at Midnight and there are some great doorbusters out there.

But to go means not waiting in line at other places. I'm torn.

I think my current plan is to wait in line at Disney, then rush over to BRU, then to Target, Ace Hardware and finally Walgreen's. I MIGHT make a pitstop at kb toys, but I doubt it. I would like to go to the outlets though but I don't think I'd make it from there to Disney in time.

Now obviously I'm searching for toys (for DD, tool toys for me). So I would imagine those of you on the hunt for other items - electronics, clothes, tools etc have a different game plan.

If it's not top secret, do you mind sharing it?

My BB did not hand out tickets until about 4:30 last year.

I really don't know this year. I'm trying to decide where to start. My first option is to start with Sears, JCPenny, Radio Shack, Dillards, Gamestop...they are all in the same mall. My second option is to go to Office Depot, old Navy, Hibbets, and Goody's.

I really need to see the Office Depot ad and I'm afraid I'm going to have to wait until Thanksgiving to see some of the ads for the smaller stores (like Goody's, Hibbetts).

This is the first year in a long time that it may come down to the wire before I decide where to go first.

I do know one thing, I do NOT have to worry about going to walmart first thing (if at all) so that's great.

Just a warning, those laptops may be gone when you go to Best Buy at 7am. Not all best buy's honors those coupons.

Right, but remember, a ticket is not a contract or a guarantee. If you don't pick it up within the first 60-90 minutes or so of the store's opening they may give "your" laptop to someone else.

I'm 99% sure that was what jlouie was trying to say...

Right now Target then Ace and that is probably it.

Unless Home Depot or Office Depot have something in their ads I see.

I might go to BB later in the day to get some movies or tv seasons but the BB closest to me (Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw, north of Atlanta) IS HELL from BF until early Jan.

I think you are in Hot Springs too, correct? I'm hitting Old Navy first.

Our best buy always told us we had to be back by 11 am to pay. If your not back by 11 am then they will sell the laptop, computer or tv what ever the ticket item so you may want to ask the best buy employee before you leave.. They can really say if you dont pay with in 60 to 90 minutes because I was in the computer line for over 4 hours and they know that line moves slow//

I had been "gifted" with an extra desk top computer ticket in 2005. I was told they had to be picked up by 11 A. M. I picked up the first one right at opening and then went to Walmart. I came back from Walmart about 9 A.M. to find long, long lines to get to customer service where the computers were. When I got almost to the front they were checking your tickets and low and behold mine was not available, even though it was before 11. A.M.

Long story short, they offered me a better computer for the same price ($150.00). When I got home I found mention of a rebate ticket on the model that they had subsituted for $50 off. I ended up getting the desk top for only $100!!!! Thanks to Gottadeal!!

My plan: stay up with minimal sleep from early morning on Thursday until early afternoon on Friday, constantly updating the site with the items that are available online for those of you who are smart enough to get your items online and avoid the madness :P

Then sleep. For a long time.

And then wake up and see how many of you free-loaders have ditched us after BF is over, never to be seen again until BF 2008, lol.

On that note, seriously everyone, stick around on the site and forums after BF. We will save you more $ during the rest of the year than you could possibly ever save on BF. If you don't believe me, ask some of the regulars on here. I don't ask for much, but give us a chance the rest of the year as well. You don't have to visit as often as you do these days, but don't just forget about us :P

The tickets will be passed out Fri @ 3am. THey will be for the doorbuster specials that they have limited quantities of. If you do not have a ticket you will not get the special item (s). Laptops, desktops, cameras, etc.

If there is anything you want electronically, you need to be in line Turkey day early afternoon.

Good luck !

3:30 am-Leave house with Hot Cocoa and Pastries

4am-Line up at Sears- 5am doors open-Ping Pong Table and Digital Frame and SD card

5am-Line up at Target-6am doors open-DVDs, SD card if wasn't available at Sears, other smaller stuff

7am-Head back to Mall-Hit JCPennys, Mervyns, and Gottchalks for the clothing sales.

Only thing I'm worried about is the Digital Frame, but the Nextar frame is being sold pretty much EVERYWHERE. I hope I get lucky though at Sears!

Taking Sisters and Brother-In-Law. We split up in two pairs. So much faster.
