mrn8
That's a pretty hot deal. With a P4 3.06, it will be a battery killer, but it's still a great machine.
Brad
The fact that there are no rebates makes it an even nicer deal. Get that low price "out the door". Good basic laptop. I don't see any upgrades that would be worth it, so you're better off doing those yourself for things like the HD and RAM.
RossMAN
That's a pretty hot deal. With a P4 3.06, it will be a battery killer, but it's still a great machine.True but as Brad mentioned there are no rebate hassles which is a huge advantage. Also this isn't your typical Dell Inspiron 1xxx stripped model with Celeron CPU, 256MB, 14.1" XGA, only DVD, integrated video, etc.
Brad
If you want WiFi, a good option is the Dell Wireless 1350 Internal Wireless (802.11b/g, 54Mbps) Mini-PCI card [add $29] or you could go with a cheap PC card.

Other than lower price of course.
Brad
exactly - price would be the only reason, unless you need an external antenna or something.
RossMAN
I still love my Dell TrueMobile 1150 PCMCIA card. Sure it's external and only 802.11b but it's a rebadged Orinoco Gold, one of the best WiFi cards ever. Damn I need to get out more often and socialize with humanoids!
