How many Christmas trees...

How many Christmas trees do you put up in your home? What is the theme of each?

My main tree is gold and ivory with white lights. I still have my original angel from 11 years ago when dh and I first moved in together. It was the most pitiful thing ever. We had a real tree that year and it had a spider nest in it!!:yuck: We woke up one day and the tree looked like it had snow all over it- spider webs:shock: ! The angel still has spots of blood on it where we were swatting the spiders. I stick it in the tree now.

I have two more in the front entry way, one is pink and green with contemporary decorations. The other is lilac, rose, and black.

My dining room tree is a country style narrow tree with old fashioned snowmen, candy canes, and rafia bows.

The kitchen tree is multicolored lights with gingerbread and cooking ornaments, teaspoons, wooden spoons, etc.

The bathroom tree is really garish. It isn't much of a tree as it is ornaments.

Dd has an aqua, pink, purple, lime, pink rice light tree. It looks age appropriate in her room. The bottom has a purple lame skirt.

Ds has a cowboy theme tree with chilli pepper lights, rope garland, straw cowboy hat topper, bandana bows, and other cowboyesque items. The skirt is burlap material.

Our bedroom is done in the shabby chic style so the tree is victorian style.

Most everyone in my family has a tree in each room! My dh thought I was CRAZY :cheesy: when I said we were following the tradition. He admired it at their homes, but cringes during the Christmas explosion week at ours!:tongue1: I really should get off of here and continue since I have the day off of work to decorate!:gdlicklips:

I totally forgot about my most favorite tree in the world! In our tv room, I have a vintage aluminum tree. We didn't have the clor wheel for a few years so we just put a spot light on it. My dh just found a color wheel at a flea market! Color me excited~~:)!!~~

We only have 3. :( This will be the 1st year with all of them. :) The past years we have had 2.

In the playroom it has red lights as that is what the boys picked with all of the homemade ornaments.

In the livingroom is the tree with the gifts under it. :yup: Everyother year it has all crystal/white glass ornaments with either all white lights or multicolored or ornaments we have specially picked out.

We have a blue tree in the past (not our favorite) and one year we had an all white decorated tree (pretty but we really prefer the colored) :bounce_fl

Happy decorating! :banana01:

we only have one tree and it really does not really have a theme. The first year hubby and I were together we did not have money for ornaments so we put our Christmas cards on the tree. Also every year we each get an ornament something relating to that years events. Hubby is suppose to buy mine every year but as it is I end up buying that every year.

I have a7 1/2 memory tree in the family room. It was ornaments from the last 20 years, some bought, some made and some gifts. In my dining room I put up a small 7 ft tree. Last year it was decorated with aqua and blues. May change it this year. In my dining room I put a 3 ft tree up with orange ornaments. In the guest bath we use a silver tree with purple and pink ornaments. My three girls each have a 2 or 3 ft tree that they decorate a little differently each year.

We do one in the living room and a tiny one the kids do on their own--sometimes it's in their room, sometimes in an opposite corner as the other tree. No theme really. My aunt got me some glass ornaments that I've been using--the kids' tree has their handmade ornaments--and whatever they want to put on it. I also have some of their handmade ornaments on my tree.

The last few years we have had 2 big trees, little trees in the 3 kids' rooms, and a couple other 2-3ft trees. We have no room in our living room for a tree, so we take our dining room table down, and put our big main tree there, in front of the big picture window. Last year I got all new gingerbread and candy ornaments. It kills me, though, not being able to decorate my dining room table. I bought some gingerbread house placemats, in case I can figure out a way to keep up my table. There is also a little bitty candy-decorated tree beside the big tree.

Our other big tree is in my bedroom, decorated in the kids' crafts and "toy" ornaments, Star Wars, Nascar, SpongeBob, Thomas, etc.

I'm hoping to find 1 or 2 more 6-7 ft trees on clearance this year, so I can have them in a few more places.

I like the idea of a bathroom tree, I'll probably do that this year!

We have a large tree in the living room, decorated with rustic primitive ornaments. There is a tree in the master bedroom with Americana decor, daughter has a pink tree with pearls as ornaments, there are also two little trees in the kitchen with red and white checked fabric ornaments. We'll probably have a tree on the landing of the staircase, and four tabletop trees go across the mantle of the fireplace.

We have one 7ft tree in our dining room that doesnt really have a theme. We have table top trees in the boy's rooms. No theme just whatever small ornaments they pick out. This year I want a white tree to put in my kitchen with a turquoise and red color theme and some gingerbread ornaments. I also want to put a 5ft tree in the living room with a black/gold or gold and ivory color theme.

I do two trees in the house. The main one in the living room is all clear lights with old-fasioned looking ornaments, mostly snowmen. The other is in my kitchen/dining room and has colored lights and gingerbread and candy ornaments. I also put a gingerbread village on top of my cupboards.

With the clean up (of real trees), I can only handle one. And I personally can't do smaller fake trees when we have a bigger real tree. Just doesn't seem.. right? to me. Not sure why.

So one for us! :) No specific theme, other than.. Christmas. ;)
