looking for a toddler bed that comes with side rails

anyone have any ideas? I don't want to spend a fortune and I have the mattress from her crib but I need something that I won't have to add a flimsy siderail to I want one that is attached not an under the mattress type thing

Are there any kids resale shops/consignment shops in your area? Try at Sears, and Walmart, you might also look online at JCpenny. We got ours... at a garage sale, it was solid oak... and had side rails that screwed on.

You can also check into the Little Tyke car beds...the mattress can be placed in it alone and is then below the sides so the little one cannot roll off.

i hadn't thought of a resale shop that's a good idea. I'm not real fond of the car beds because she's very very girly so it just wouldn't fit in well with the rest of the stuff but if she was a boy that's def. what i'd get =)

lol... Little Tykes has girl beds too.... They are pink... and not cars...kinda like doll houses.

there are a bunch on ebay. Kmart.com has them with free shipping over $59 dollars right now. I am on the search for a girl right now too. I am not finding that many that are a good deal that are not real cheap looking though. Try Craigslist.com .

We got ours at Toys R Us. They are cherry toddler beds and the side rails are built right on. They are very nice and I think they were just over $100

Hi, my daughter constantly would fall out of bed without rails...she had a disney princess toddler bed...very very pink and girly...rails attached to the frame...cost about $40 at Walmart. Try Craigslist too, people around you may be selling them...I sold hers on there when she outgrew it.

they have a wooden one at Toys R Us that is on clearance...that is what I used/use for both of my kiddos and they never fell out

lol.. thats a pic of the one I got at the garage sale. It works great... and is sturdy enough that I can lay sorta... with him if I need to.

ooh that's nice =) I found a princess castle bed on craigslist i'm hoping to go look at today but if that doesn't work out looks like i'll be ordering that one!

That's the one we've had for years, too. We bought it on clearance at Walmart for $15. $35 is a great deal, too. Wood is great and construction is solid. Nice neutral color, too.

 

ToysRUS also carries a Princess Bedroom in a box that comes with a matching toy bin and chest.

That is what I was going to recommend. We bought he sponge bob bed like this for I think 35. DS got it when he turned 2. It uses the crib mattress. He turns 5 in 15 days and still uses it.

 

The set that walmart has is a good deal for all of the stuff.

off of craigslist for 50 bucks so I got really lucky there. Looks like the toddler option will keep the mattress low enough to not need a rail and I can convert it into a twin bed later on until she's sick of it lol. thanks for all the help!

i bought my son the walmart bed pictured above... great buy... my son has jumped on it - my husband has laid down on it and it is still perfect. And the best thing is that it is only $45
