elena_398 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I was watching tv last night and a Sears ad came on. It was about a sale that was in store starting this Thursday. It showed a bunch of items, but one that caught my eye was a Magnavox 42" LCD tv for $799. Said save $600. With the Sears card it would be roughly $650.(with the mail in rebate of $150) Does anyone know about Magnavox's LCD tvs? This would be an even better deal for me than the 42" Sears will have on the Friends and family. Bad brand? This would be for a bedroom so don't need all the bells and whistles. We just have a large bedroom and need a bigger tv for the wall. Thanks
elena_398 Posted November 7, 2007 Author Posted November 7, 2007 No one saw this? LOL I hope when I show up at Sears they know what Im talking about. haha
Caprice64 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 The print ad came in todays atlanta paper, unfortunately nothing I needed in it!
missyjane Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I have the print ad in front of me now. This deal could get even sweeter with the friends and family discount? Anyway - here's the link to the TVhttp://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05771337000P?vName=Computers+%26+Electronics&keyword=magnavox and the specs:Width: 40-1/8 in. Depth: 11-5/8 in. Worthy of an online hot deal thread? It doesn't receive all that bad reviews on the sears website.
missyjane Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Here's a link to the rebate:http://www.sears.com/shc/s/RebateDetailsCmd?RebateId=000000685870533,40126913&storeId=10153
missyjane Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 This price is only good Thursday, Friday & Saturday - so it won't work on Friends & Family night.
Alexcat Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I saw the ad last night....great price...perfect tv for the bed room....
elena_398 Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 I may surprise my husband. By getting this now, I can avoid BF lines. I just need a tv of this size for the bedroom. Nothing fancy. With the rebate its even better. Anyone deal with Sears on rebates before? New to me.
elena_398 Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Well, I can't get on the Sears website! Too busy.
wjfan1 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Don't even bother with the tvs. Was at the store this morning and they are substituting an Olevia, they didn't even have the Magnavox's.
Tigger97498 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 You know the Olevia isnt a bad tv (very well reviewed) either BUT its going to be on sale even cheaper on Thanksgiving day at Kmart.
elena_398 Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 yeah, I decided to pass. Nothing in stock around me..... too much for shipping. Would have made the $150 rebate useless as it was pretty high to ship. Im sure more great deals to come on LCD tvs
