RossMAN Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Great deal on the Dell 1704FPV, remember this isn't the lower end E173FP. This model has both analog and DVI ports, along with four USB 2.0 ports.
mrn8 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 I've been thinking about a 20" LCD for a while. Should I go widescreen or standard? I use the computer for gaming (not as much since the Xbox showed up), web surfing, web graphics and design, occasionally watching movies.
RossMAN Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 I would read up on reviews for both 2001FP and 2005FPW models, unless you watch a lot of movies I would go for 2001FP.
mrn8 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 No, I mostly watch movies from my living room, so that's not really an issue. I like the WS on my laptop, but it really isn't ideal for graphics. You run out of screen at the bottom, since most graphics are made to fit the standard monitor ratio. (4:3?)
Brad Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 New stacakable $35 and $55 coupons: Save 20% + $35 off on the Dell 1704FPV ($244) or 1905FP ($388) with coupon codes HQCKNWZC04MJLG and FLFM2?0$6PPMVW Save 25% + $55 off on the Dell 2001FP ($506) or 2005FPW ($506) with coupon codes 40F961WD2MTG0K and ZDCHTVW0BG390S
RossMAN Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Tip: Pay for your computers and electronics with a CitiBank or Chase credit card for 2 reasons: 1) Earn 1% rebate which is a savings of $5.062) Receive a FREE 1 year extended warranty from VISA or MasterCard
RossMAN Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I wish I could see a 2001FP and 2005FPW side by side to compare.
