DS's girlfriend want dishes for Christmas. My son says she wants purple. I have forund these two sets. One solid purple, one white with purple flowers. Kmart.com has 10% off housewares and the price differences is less than $5.00 a set. the also have free shipping if you spend a certain amount. I do not know her that well I just want to be nice to all prospective DIL's:) Which one do you like best. Hopefully the pictures will attach and the poll I am trying to expand my computer ability :cheesy:

Well, I'm, well let's just say I'm NOT in my twenties, but I vote solid purple also. You know that she wants purple, but do you know if she likes florals? I ask because I love purple but don't care for florals or grapes or any of that kind of busy stuff. I would prefer the solid purple for myself :D

I would ask DS to question DFDIL on what she would really like. Dishes last a very long time and if you wanted solid and got floral you would be looking at them at every meal and thinking about what you really wanted.

I am 56 and I like the solid purple. Much more modern and you could add so many colors to your table setting/decor if you wanted too to make it look different.

I vote for solid purple and I am 38. But I am rarely if ever a "flower" person. My oldest DD is 19 and she likes the purple too, wrinkled her nose at the flower ones... lol.... With solid she can add clear glasses or glasses with something purple on them over the years if she starts to not like want totally purple anymore.

Personally I wish I had the $$ to redo my dishes, appliances, etc and I would go with bright colors as well... :-) Hope this all helps you decide... whichever one you decide I think I would see about attaching a gift receipt just in case and make sure she knows you won't be offended if she returns them.
