I bought 2 of the old shuffles refurb. almost 2 years ago from Apple. I have had no problems, I'm considering an upgrade for my kids (they're getting a bit older, 10 and 12) and this might be the answer. Thanks!

I got the shuffle last year (refurb) and it was in a nice "apple" brown box.

and came with all the papers, headphones and cd's needed for loading.

It was packaged nice enough to give as a gift IMO. :)

what type of packaging do refurbs come in? would i be able to give this as a gift without them knowing it's refurbished?

It did come in an apple box, but I do remember it had tape at the ends saying it was refurbished. I gave it to my kids for Christmas and they didn't care. I don't think you could pass it off as being "new" if that was your intension, however, if you didn't care they knew it was refurbished, it was in a nice package with booklet, warranty card, etc. inclosed.

Ok I'm really confused about this iPod, why does it say HP under manufacturer?

Are they the ones who reconditioned it?

That is a really great price for 20 GB, it has video right?
