RossMAN
I love the VGA resolution, built in Bluetooth, 802.11b wireless internet and more! I'd probably capture video, shrink it and watch TV shows on the bus ride to/from work.
i-bystander
Very nice price indeed! Those are main selling points, Ross - not to mention the 624MHz processor and the Intel2700 Chip. I use mine to stream music/videos via WiFi! I also have a few movies on a couple of 1GB Microdrives!
RossMAN
Ray, how long does it take you to rip/encode those movies? If I got a PDA I'd probably use 512MB or 1GB SD.
i-bystander
Depends on the length of the movie and the speed of the machine, but typically around 1-2 hrs. I normally just run them at night and batch-process them - that way when I wake up in the morning they're all done. :) I already have MDs for my laptop (one of which now resides in the Ax). I'm still thinking about getting bigger SDs, though - I just have a bunch of small ones.

mrn8
i wish it weren't so much.. it'd make one nice portable media device. so tempting.. yet no use whatsoever :)My wife uses hers for keeping all of her records and order info for her Creative Memories business. I bought the Dell Bluetooth GPS kit for it, so we also use it whenever we would have previously gone to mapquest. :)

mrn8
Dell GPS Kit I got it for ~$170 when they had them at 25% off, right before Christmas.
SynthDude2001
Nice...Around $400 shipped with tax. The only thing that's making me have second thoughts about this is whether or not Dell will offer an upgrade to Windows Mobile 2005 later in the year... i-bystander
They most likely will - I believe they did that for WM 2002 to WM SE 2003.
